Because no one seemingly cares about natural immunity and there is no chance this jab should be mandated anywhereRebecca Wheless (Louisburg, 2022-01-08)

For a so-called Catholic university to have mandated these abortion-tainted shots in the first place is pure hypocrisy, but to take this further step in mandating boosters in spite of new data showing serious side-effects in this specific student population is reckless and irresponsible. You will reap what you sow.Denise Fitzpatrick (Groton, 2022-01-08)

I am a physician and I do not believe students with history of covid and then vaccinated require a booster. A natural covid infection is in fact a booster. Stop the insanity of the cdc and it’s inconsistant and ever changing recommendations and follow basic science. Thank you for readingMeg Kohlhepp MD (Odessa, 2022-01-08)

I’m signing because our constitution requires the freedom of choice! I am disappointed to see any institution ( especially Villanova University) require a mandate that requires a vaccination.Nicole Nigrelli McGroarty (Haddonfield, 2022-01-09)

I believe my son has enough immunity between his vaccinations and his natural infection to avoid severe disease and the boosters shots are not without risks/side effects.Julie Schellenger (Malvern, 2022-01-09)

I’m signing because my student recently recovered from Covid 19 and there is no medical or scientific reason to receive the booster at this time. In the absence of any benefit and in light of the fact that the vaccine is not without risk, I respectfully request an exemption for students who, like my child, were diagnosed with, and recovered from, Covid 19 over the recent Christmas break.Michael Murphy (Villanova, 2022-01-11)

The madness needs to stop. These young adults have virtually no risk from covid 19. I cannot believe that esteemed universities who should have a wealth of intelligent professors who should be taking the time to dissect studies. They’re readily available for your perusal. Do some research.Tricia Cullen (Cary, 2022-01-11)

I don’t believe in mandates. They violate the rights of Americans. No one should be able to make you do something to your body that you don’t want to. It’s unconstitutional. Additionally, science shows the vax does NOT prevent getting Covid.Joan Fabrizio (Broomall, 2022-01-11)

As an alumni with a niece at Villanova, I am appalled that the university would be gambling with the health and safety of its students by mandating a potentially dangerous booster which will NOT stop the spread of infection, for a virus which poses very little risk to young adults.Lisa Mickey (Milford, 2022-01-11)

I am against the mandate. These vaccines are dangerous for those under 30. They do not prevent transmission of the virus. The choice to be vaccinated should be up to the individual.Brenda Catalanello (New Vernon, 2022-01-11)

I am signing because booster mandates should not indicated for use let alone mandated for young adults. They are more likely to be hurt in a car accident or have an overdose than have a poor Covid outcome. This is not controversial and is a scientific fact. The CDC has even admitted that the “vaccine” does not nothing to reduce the spread as vaccinated people transmit Covid as much as unvaccinated. Young men in particular have a higher likelihood of myocarditis from the vaccine than have a poor Covid outcome. It is unconscionable that you would put young men at risk with a vaccine for an illness that they are not at risk for poor outcome. Follow the actual science and drop these draconian booster mandates.Christina Gradassi (New York, 2022-01-12)

My children had Covid 19 over the Christmas break and I do not want them to receive another injection until there is proof that the booster is not harmful to those with a robust recent natural immunity. Mandating the students receive the third injection by 1/31 is not acceptable.Christina Schelin (Greenlawn, 2022-01-12)

I’m signing bc I won’t send my kids to a school that can’t make sound decisions when it comes to their health. Villanova is an alma mater to members of my family and my daughter was considering it this year. I will not pay for her to attend a school with so little fortitude it won’t stand up for the health choices if it’s students.Mandy Yasinski (Pleasantville, 2022-01-12)

As an alumni and a donor to Villanova University, I am saddened and shocked that you are forcing healthy young students to submit to booster shots for Covid-19. You are forcing them to choose between a vaccine that does nothing against Omicron and their education. Long-term studies have not been done to confirm that additional doses do not have negative side effects. In fact, many studies prove that the vaccine is more detrimental to young men in particular, than Covid-19. Please do not force anyone to get an experimental vaccine in order to attend Villanova University.Paige Decker (Clifton Park, 2022-01-12)
#320
My daughter had covid. Mandates are unconstitutional and immoral. Our young adults should have a choice. Where there is risk there must be a choice. Natural immunity is superior to vaccine. Omicron evades the booster. Our children have sacrificed enough. We do not know the long term effects of these experimental drugs and our kids are not at risk. “Vaccines” as these are unscientifically called, do not stop the transmission of the virus. Therefore, using “the good of the community” is not a substantiated claim.Melissa Gordon (Pleasantville, 2022-01-12)

There is absolutely no science behind mandating boosters for college-age students, especially those who have had a previous COVID infection. I expected better from Fr. Peter and the other leaders at Villanova University. Just one more big disappointment when it comes to my alma mater.Michael DeLuke (Naples, 2022-01-12)

Vaccines do not stop the spread of the virus per the CDC. Per the CEO of Pfizer the vaccines aren’t even effective against the latest strain, and safety is yet to be determined since there is no long term data. Considering all of this, Vaccination should be a CHOICE!Carla Lewin (Thornwood, 2022-01-12)

1-Religious affiliations2- Booster does not have science behind it and it not preventing the spread
Theresa Larre (Manhasset, 2022-01-12)

Covid vaccines DO NOT prevent community spread. Further, the booster fails the risk/benefit test for a young person. In the 16-25 age group, the risk of hospitalization or death from covid is near zero, while the risk of harm from the vaccine due to myocarditis or other life threatening reaction is higher. Villanova is asking these students to put their health and futures in jeopardy order to attend. It is unconscionable.Stacy Feczko (Wexford, PA, 2022-01-12)

I’m signing as a concerned parent and because the university is following junk discredited science on vaccines that don’t work. Have you people heard of omicron yet? I'm signing this because I truly believe we don't know what we don't know yet about multiple vaccines recently brought to market to be administered to young adults. What we do know is everyone has the choice to protect themselves against severe disease and there have in fact been adverse and even fatal reactions to the vaccine. This disease has an extremely high mortality rate in this age group. Please leave the choice with the parents and the students. Our worry and concern is real and valid.Deborah Liguori (Ridgewood, New Jersey, 2022-01-16)

As a scientist, and a person who has been fully vaccinated and still contracted COVID, I believe vaccine booster mandates and mask mandates make no sense for healthy young adults.Thomas Turan (Maineville, 2022-01-16)

While this vaccine has shown some effectiveness in helping older individuals, the risk of injection outweighs the risk of infection in the young. Also, my own daughter was double jabbed and still got COVID. I can see no benefit to anyone to force her to get a booster.Robert Catalanello (New Vernon, 2022-01-17)

My current two students fall within the already had Covid and have already taken the required vaccine. They have done their part. And our family doctor has told us to NOT get the booster.Melissa Mayhall (Phoenixville, 2022-01-18)

I am concerned parent of Villanova student. Natural immunity from previous covid infection and vaccination should be a consideration, as well.Colette Stauffer (Allentown, 2022-01-18)

Boosters are proving not to prevent people from getting Covid, especially the Omicron variant. There are other boosters that are coming out that are suppose to be much more affective….so why require it now?My daughter has had Covid and was fine. Without knowing the long term affects, it is not fair to ask our young people to keep jabbing themselves with something that has proven not to work as advertised.
Please reconsider!
Michael Stauffer (Allentown, 2022-01-18)

I'm signing the petition because of the inherent risks of the vaccine and boosters for my son's age group in regards to myocarditis. Getting this vaccine will not help to further protect the community as vaccinated individuals still can spread the virus.George Swann (Denver, 2022-01-18)
#400
This should be an individual's choice and not a mandate. This booster is now known not to work against this variant and will not stop the spread of the virus. Why are you continuing on a path that isn't effective? The potential side effects and unknown long term effects outweigh any benefit. This age group is not at risk from this virus, but the mandate you have enacted is putting our children at risk.
Is there no longer common sense in any decisions made? I thought we were paying for a higher education. Maybe health decisions should actually be made by following the science verses following a political party's view.
