As a long-time Queenstown resident and a mother to a 7-year-old, I'm invested in his future here. Like any parent, I want my child to have the chance to grow up in the community we love and call home. But with only one high school at risk of reaching capacity, that right feels uncertain. Every child in Queenstown deserves the opportunity to attend a local school, surrounded by the place and people that shape who they are.Georgina Cunningham (, 2024-10-30)

I believe we need another option along side the existing high school which is already almost at capacity. We also need affordable high school education.Jen Semp (, 2024-10-30)

I am signing this petition because I believe that this form of education is lacking in New Zealand and as someone who struggled hugely with traditional schooling, I want to help teach the future generations in more beneficial ways and help give them the tools to succeed in the future.Sarah Annette (, 2024-11-09)

I am signing because as a local parent I strongly believe we need options for our children education. The town is growing so fast, and the current high school is almost at capacity. This is a wonderful opportunity for the community.Ruth Saavedra (, 2024-11-10)

I support the need for another highschool in the Whakitpu basin. Not necessarily in the proposed area below Coronet Peak as such. However it is needed as our town rapidly grows.J Knight (, 2024-11-17)

I was fortunate to visit Liger today with my daughter who is currently in year 7. To say I was blown away by their learning model is an understatement. What and how they teach the youth is exceptional and I particularly love that a core value is the involvement in the community. If this model can be offered to a wider section of the community, only good things will come out of it for Queenstown. Queenstown has a unique set of challenges because of its growth and location. This school could be a fundamental part of what enables it to thrive into the future.
