This effect on my hometown is really calling downwind, the run offs to the ditches, cricks, and field tiles which lead to the little Darby, big Darby and expand, it’s like another solar rep aren’t we wasting valuable ground enough. Madison lake, big plain, 56 big turn, Hume lever, all these areas are in danger to thisJust imagine another 665 dump “you can smell it from this area on a hot day down wind and we all know it” so imagine what the smell would be, also Madison lake is already in need of clean and dredge, this will absolutely pollute the whole marsh and farming area

The bike trail- Robert’s Pass Trail and parts of Camp Chase Trail would be affected by the biodigester’s air pollution and truck traffic. This part of the trail is unique in Ohio because it does not pass through an industrial area. It is an especially beautiful section of the trail that many locals ride and walk on daily. This trail is part of the heavily used Ohio to Erie Trail, and the London Marathon route uses Robert’s Pass section of the bike trail.Juliet Mullett (Galloway, 2024-09-25)

Our county has already been overload with solar farms, this company has had all kinds of things go wrong in a bunch of states which was not good for the areas around the companies. Why would any of us here in Madison County or Ohio for that matter want anymore. Say no to this and any other company that would want to set up shop in our county and state. Please think of the people that live here.Judy Gallimore (London, 2024-09-26)

The installation of this biodigester could threaten the safety and well-being of our communities with little to nothing to gain from taking the risks. The installation of this biodigester could also cause the property values in the area to plummet threatening the livelihoods of the families in our communities.Nikolas Hayes (West Jefferson, 2024-10-11)

I used to live near Frank Rd and the stench especially in the summer made it difficult to be outside. Many biodigester plants have been shut down due to the stench and other issues. I am afraid many of the trucks would come through West Jefferson to get to Wilson Rd compounding problems with roadways already overloaded from the factories west of town on roads not meant for heavy vehiclesKimberly Bartholomew (West Jefferson, 2024-10-11)

I’m signing because I agree the benefits of such facilities in Madison and adjacent counties in Ohio fail to offset the risks as outlined and defined above. Further, the economic impacts appear to benefit the few at the expense of the many. Additionally, federal, state and local EPA agencies and health departments are marginal and bureaucratic at best, lacking the necessary resources and expertise to provide adequate oversight on the construction and operation of such technology. Unfortunately, it appears many such projects are being fast tracked and forced on unsuspecting communities by leveraging over used and inflated political, social and environmental rhetoric in an attempt to garner broad support of the under informed.Geoffrey Rigney (Marysville, 2024-10-11)

I am a local resident, and highly believe there could’ve been a better location to build this Bio-project. It’s near homes, and right next to a State park area. Risks of any of pollutants running off into the nearby state park and polluting the air by nearby homes is a ‘No brainer’ of why we should be reconsidering this. There must be another option. Also ~ there’s no incentive in any way for the local cities/towns/villages? 🤔 no clear deal… just a “sorry, you gotta deal with it” approach. This will assuredly get push back

We are very concerned about how this will affect the overall environment in this area. I don’t like the idea of an endless supply of waste from Franklin co. being trucked to our area and dumped on us so some farm owner can get rich from government grants. We have wells that I worry now are compromised from farm runoff. The smell would make it impossible to ride the bike trail and enjoy park. This is not a healthy solution.Kristi Rannow (West Jefferson, 2024-10-17)
