Take the option of organ donation off the New Zealand Drivers License

Did you know that only 47% of New Zealanders are willing to donate organs to those in need, 53% of new Zealanders don’t believe in organ donation because of culture or religion. The majority of the cultures that don’t believe in organ donation are Maori and Pacifica.

Considering how high the rate of not believing in organ donation raises the decision on whether or not the organ donation option should be on the NZ Drivers license.

We feel that the option should not be on the drivers licence. If you are interested in donating organs there are other ways to let people know you would donate like signing up with the New Zealand Blood and Organ donation group.

We want to take out the organ donation option off the NZ drivers license because it is insensitive and offensive to some cultures. Everyone needs a drivers lisence but nobody needs to be offended.

One Country One People.
