Will Riga now European Capital for Culture really hold an SS march this year?
2014-02-05 10:05:53As from 17 January 2014, this year, the Latvian capital of Riga was celebrated cultural capital of Europe. Over the years it has been heralded the stag capital of the world and Europe's prettiest city but one thing the travel blogs won't say is that since 1998, each and every year, Riga also hosts on the 16 March the annual Waffen SS march where former Latvian SS veterans are honoured by church and state alike. This year will be no different unless people say NO. If you have not done so already please write to your MP and MEP to add their voice as well to this petition. Thank you!
