INCREASE ACCOUNTING TIME FROM 2 TO 3 HOURS 2021

My apologies everyone that I have to bring you guys the bad news, i tried my hardest best its out of my hands but it can be revised next year if there are complaints at the end of the year

In terms of the  duration for the Accounting examination…. Please note that Accounting was previously  a 300 marks paper written for 3 hours. Now we have each paper reduced to 150 marks for 2hrs each. In essence candidates now have 4 hours to write the 300 marks, which already is an increase of one hour. This is stipulated in the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements (Amended). The 2020  candidates wrote and there were no reports of candidates not completing the paper. The 2021 learners have been trained and have written their trial exams as such. There were no reports from provinces regarding candidates not completing the paper.  The duration will not be increased further before the 2021 November examinations. If there are issues regarding  duration picked up in the 2021 exams it will be reported and dealt with accordingly afterwards. Current evidence shows that the 4 hours is enough to complete the Accounting papers.
