Building the Market Common Indoor Pool Project

2023-09-25 14:42:59

This is an update on the initiative to Build the Market Common Indoor Pool.

Over 800 signatures have been collected on two different petitions, and the number continues to grow.

To simplify communications Carolyn Milliron is taking the lead to send out updates and a call to action. I think there is a good chance that we can get this done in 2024. Please email Carolyn at southmbpool@gmail and let her know that you want to be included on updates for the Indoor Pool Project.

In advance, thank you and let's get this done.

Market Common Indoor Pool project

Just an update ... the indoor pool project for the Market Common area is not dead!

Our hope is to have it on the city's budget for the next budget cycle. To help ensure that it continues to move forward, I will run for City Council this coming November. I will need your help and vote on Nov. 7.  Low voter turnout in past elections has led to a concentration of power in the hands of a few, leading to policies that often do not reflect the needs of the broader Myrtle Beach community.

Please be on the lookout for my posts on Facebook and Nextdoor in the coming weeks.

Thanks in advance!
