Ban the Goondiwindi Liquor Ban list

Hi, my name is Tamarah - I am starting this petition in regards to the Goondiwindi Liquor Banning list that includes pubs over the border in NSW and even half an hour away in Toobeah. This banning system has been in place for as long as i have lived in Goondiwindi which is 10 years. I think the made up system is outdated and ridiculous. There are Life Ban lists that have over 30 people on it, one of which is my Partner, who has now served his 5 year ban (life) but the Liquor Accord in Goondiwindi are now trying to say it is 15 years. Now i get the people who have robbed local pubs, damaged property and assaulted staff members why they are on the life ban list, what i dont get is people who are given copius amounts of alcohol from local bar staff when they are clearly intoxicated already, and then you send them out on the street and expect nothing to happen. If alcohol is involved you should expect an argument or a fight or a disagreement when staff or police start acting rude to the patrons. Banning someone when they are 18-21 and trying to say they are banned for 15 years is crazy, even 5 years is crazy, do you not think people grow up? Everyone was wild from the ages of 18-21, they wonder why the drug problem is so bad in town, people on the banning list cant even go through the bottleshop to get takeaway alcohol to enjoy at their home. 

Now nothing against the Goondiwindi Police or the people apart of the Liquor Accord but myself and many others belive the banning system should be scrapped and if you mess up at one pub get kicked out of that pub! not every pub in town, plus others over the border and the golf corse, bowls club and more. I myself have been drunk at one of the pubs in town when i was younger and got banned for 3 months for singing loudly out the front of the pub and a police officer told me to shut my mouth and when i replied the exact same thing back to them they put it down as public nuisance and come to my house a day later and issued me a fine and a ban for 3 months. 

Now i currently work at one of the pubs in town, i see a lot of intoxicated people, i also see a lot of people who i knew 5+ years ago that are completely different and have grown up and want to come in for a beer with their work mates and put a bet on the horses, but there are so many people who cannot do that due to having extended bans because the Liquor accord want to keep changing the rules when it pleases them. 

So please, if you are happy to, please sign this petition to change the rules - as it is not stated in the liquor act and no other pubs/clubs that i have spoken to in the last 5 years even have a system in place like this.
