To Isabel Darby,

I understand this site is going to be recommended for removal from the green belt. This is a unsustainable site all roads leading to the AQMA. Please ask the planning officer concerned how development can take place without impacting on the existing AQMA or creating another. Janet Rance

Dear Janet.  BNG have regukarly written to Isobel Darby and all other District Councillors as well as members of the Joint Planning Committee.  We have made this point that the site is an unsustainable location and the Chief Planning Officer responded saying it is possible to create a sustainable development at an unsustainable location.  BNG remain unconvinced as we know that will take an aweful lot of money, particularly at that location, and the economics of providing 40% affordable housing is dubious at best.  The concept of removing Green Belt designation and safeguarding seems inappropriate and so far we have seen nothing that constitutes "exceptional circumstances (which is what current legislation requires) to justify this proposal.  Thank you for your comments and I hipe you will follow our fight against this flawed idea.
