Keep Homevale High Coat of Arms Original.

The current SGB of Homevale High School in 2022 approached the staff of Homevale to implement changes to the uniform of learners. This change included the current royal blue as seen in recent Facebook posts and at the school. A change that was not meant to happen and that was not discussed is the addition of a shield around the Homevale High coat of arms. 

The Original Coat of Arms was designed by Mr William Gerald (Bunny) McLean. As his son and a current member of staff it was always a matter of pride to know that I am standing where he stood and doing what I can to live up to that legacy. 

The addition of the shield 🛡 changed the entire meaning of the Coat of Arms. The elements are all there for a specific reason. The book 📖 is for the academic progress that we stand for. The hands shaking is for the cooperation needed by the school and community. The real shield of Homevale was the ferns surrounding the school. These stand for peace and prosperity which for 40 years was all that Homevale High School needed. The addition of the hard shield 🛡 means that Homevale High has become Weak and that Peace and Prosperity are not enough anymore.

Please help by spreading this petition to all the Homevale stakeholders as you can.
