Petition:

We, the residents of Mogwase, currently made up of Wards 13, 15 and 10, hereby forward this petition to the Municipal Demarcation Board to have Mogwase Township as a whole classified and joined together to form Ward 33. Its our strong belief that Units 1, 2, 4, 5 North & 5 South and 8 in their entirety, wholly form Ward 33 of Moses Kotane Local Municipality. As residents of Mogwase it makes no sense for our community to be ripped apart whereas in its current form Units 2, 4, 5 North and South are paired with surrounding Villages (Mabele-A-Podi “Ward 13”, Doringpoort “Ward 15” and Sandfontein “Ward 10”) respectively. This current and unworkable format makes it difficult for our community members to participate fully in the affairs and life of our municipality.

We, the residents of Mogwase, Demand that the Demarcation Board accedes to our communities request (Units 1, 2, 4, 5 North & South and 8 in their entirety to form Ward 33) to change the ward boundaries and keep our community together.
