We, the residents of Parkview, hereby petition the City of Johannesburg to urgently institute traffic calming measures on Emmarentia Avenue in order to put an end to the numerous, often fatal, accidents that occur on this road as a result of speeding between Carlow Road and Gleneagles Road – supporting evidence attached. We request that either stop signs, robots, speeding cameras or regular JMPD roadblocks / trapping be put in place on this section of the road as a matter of urgency. Notice to also be taken that there is a School on this road, which requires calming measures to be implemented.
