 Kempton Park residents are under siege! The recent defunding of our police by a staggering R5 850 139 billion has left our men and women in blue vulnerable and exposed.

Currently, visible policing across Kempton Park is in dire crisis, with the Kempton Park Police Station only having three vehicles – a shortage of 75%, in addition, a minimum of 96 sector police are needed and we only have 41. Violent crime is skyrocketing across Kempton Park, according to the latest fourth quarterly crime statistics, with murder up 200%, Rape 69.2%, Carjackings 200%, and Rape 69.2%. The crime at the Kempton Park Police Station is so bad that the Station appears no less than 12 times on the list for the worst Police Station across South Africa!

  Enough is Enough!

Send a strong and clear message to the Minister of Police that we will not tolerate the defunding of the police and that Kempton Park deserves its fair share of sector policing.

The DA calls on the Portfolio Committee on Police to urgently investigate the lack of sector police officers and vehicles, which is contributing to the raging crime rate. Please sign our petition to show your support.
