We support the efforts to set up a Hyperloop knowledge base and ecosystem in Finland

We are aware that one of the top contenders to win the “Hyperloop Race”, Virgin Hyperloop One, has shown an interest in investing heavily to set up a Development Center and Proof-of-Operations in Finland.

We know that negotiations have taken place regarding how, where and when this could be realized. We are aware that there are alternative locations in Europe and other places that also want these Hyperloop-investments into their regions.

The creation of these innovation centers in Finland would give birth to a larger ecosystem of new local expert companies that can specialize in processes and innovations needed for this new mode of transport. If Hyperloop is indeed financially and technically feasible, this investment has the potential to become the new knowledge export for the Nordics the coming decades.

We therefore support the efforts to set up a Hyperloop knowledge base and ecosystem in Finland and are open to explore the possibilities that this will bring for Finnish innovation.
