Protecting front line staff at RNS

Dear Colleagues,

While we all hearing alarming numbers of COVID-10 confirmed cases every day (as of Apr 1, the number is at over 9,700), we, as frontline health care worker, all live in fear and anxiety.  

We noticed that RNS has sent us two thank-you letters, which is a good one step forward but that is insufficient. RNS has not provided sufficient protection and support for our front-line PSW, such as guidance on how to stay away from infection source and sufficient protection equipment when we deal with the infection risk. It is necessary for us to stand up and let RNS hear our voice:

1)      RNS provide sufficient protection supplies, mask, goggles and others

2)      RNS provide support to colleagues who need to take care of children at home and cannot go to work, such as: letters of instruction, guidelines on how to receive government subsidies, etc

3)      RNS provide support and guidance on how to quarantine and how to apply for government benefits for colleagues who need quarantine due to COVID-19

4)      RNS provide help and guidance to PSW colleagues who experience reduced income due to cancellation of appiontment by clients

5)      RNS provide adequate psychological counseling to ease anxiety for PSW colleagues working under high pressure every day

6)      RNS Increase special allowance or wage for PSW colleagues who must go to work every day

Dear Colleagues, we hope that we can get through the difficulties together! We are stronger than before as we are counting on each other at this moment. It is our responsibility to protect ourselves. We need RNS to provide more support.
