I'm signing because I live in Bedfordview. I love my town and my country. I pay taxes and work hard everyday. However I don't think services are being delivered and roads, water and sewage pipes are not being maintained. I suspect that our money Is not being used to fix and Maintain our towns infrastructure and the ANC is not working hard or contributing anything to this beautiful country, but stealing and mismanaging money. It's disgraceful. The residents of Bedfordview are the ones who get together and put money into make things work. What are we paying rates and taxes for? If it wasn't for the residents and DA ward counselors of Bedfordview our town would be a mess. We would have no water or roads we could drive on. We would be in the dark ages and our country would be nothing to be proud of. It's a disgrace what the ANC is doing to this country. Nelson Mandela would be turnIng and weeping in his grave. Is this what Mandella and so many South Africans call Freedom? Freedom to steel and destroy! If this continues there will be nothing left to be proud of and say “This is what we built together”

Because we pay for service and should therefore get it. What is happening to all the money we pay for services that were not charged 10 years ago. A building of 34 units used to pay R4000 at the most. Then everything changed and each flat had to pay its own rates account and the council increased their rates income by about 400%.

It is time that the citizens of this Metro expressed their dissatisfaction with the inept management and lack of fundamental maintenance, in a decisive and positive concerted action by all who are facing the effects of a city that is falling into ruin. Services and infrastructure are collapsing at an unsustainable rate and the city and its surrounds are being subjected to a state of collapse with large areas ending up being repositories for dumped rubbish, contributing to rodent infestation and toxicity. Water supply is frequently unavailable, due to lack of restorative maintenance, and has become a virtual daily occurrence with seemingly no end in sight. The situation is totally unacceptable and needs to be concertedly challenged by residents across the board!
