14 Year old girl raped by a police sergeant
The independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) is investigating charges of rape against police sergeant Oudtshoorn, Cape Town.

It is alleged that in January 2016, the suspect was spending weekend at his mother’s place, his sister was also there with her two teenage girls, one evening the suspect came home under influence and demanded food, the 14 year old victim and sister organised food for the suspect and then went back to sleep in the living room.

It is alleged that the police sergeant went to the room where the girls and their mom slept, raped the 14 year child and threatened to kill her if she can report him. In June the teenager managed to report the matter to her family and her sister managed to confess as well, that she was once molested by the same suspect before and she was also threatened.

A case of rape was opened at Oudtshoorn Police Station, IPID applied for a warrant of arrested which was granted. The matter appeared in the Oudtshoorn Magistrate Court on Wednesday 04 May 2016.
