I don’t like pine trees being cutdown for human satisfaction. These trees are deeply rooted in our city, it is part of our history and tradition. Though they don’t have mouth to speak, they have also the right to be respected. They have been the witness of our city’s history and they have been a part of Baguio City’s identity. Cutting them down means cutting down who we are(local residents). Moreover, these trees gives breath to our city, exchanging them for a residential area is just another way for the city to be over populated and can cause additional polution in the city. Why not leave them alone? They also want to live like us. If only you were born to be a tree, you will also want to live.

Baguio is already over populated, and exceeded its urban carrying capacity. Beloved Baguio has been known, recognized and always appreciated for its cool breeze and fresh air coming from the pine trees, thus it is also dubbed as the "City of Pines". Given the geographical structure of the city where soil erosion and landslide are common during rainy season, TREES 🌲 play a very important role. More buildings or new development projects (as per your purpose of cutting trees) are less important compared to what will be sacrificed. Let's not forget the basic needs and more important things for a brighter tomorrow.
