To stop the council WASTING rate payer money

Wayne Renault (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#203

I agree with petitioners

Mike Corkery (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#204

The elected mayor and councillors appear to be oblivious to the current economic situation and spend all their efforts and public money on vanity projects, instead of focusing on financial health of DCC portfolio, including shares in DCC owned businesses.
Imposed 10 km/ hr speed limit is appropriate for parking lots, not for the street. Using public health concern ( social distancing, need to step on the street when pavement is crowded) is misguided

Galiya Ismakova (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#205

We need a Mayor and Council who are transparent and whom are capable of working WITH the citizens of this great city!

Clare Jenkins (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#211

The Council is wasting ratepayers money during these difficult times, when it could be better spent in more essential areas. The current 30km restriction is perfectly adequate. Councils autocratic actions will only serve to deter even more people from shopping in the CBD.

Laurie Dalziel (Mosgiel, 2020-05-17)

#214

I dont think the mayor is any good for dunedin and closing off the main street is absolutely unnecessary

Lisa Jackson (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#215

I have no confidence in this council

Georgina Shanks (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#216

As a rate payer here in Dunedin. I feel our current mayor and councillors are not listening to the Dunedin public, they are only interested in what they want for the city , our mayor brings across that he wants all cars off the roads , this in Dunedin does not work as many of us do not work in areas that buses directly to

Kim Anderson-Robb (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#219

I believe the current mayor and some council members are squandering rate payers money on things that won’t benefit industry in this city

Alistair john Mccormick (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#223

This council does not listen to the people and needs to go.

Darryl Tackney (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#226

Dunedin is an awesome city and these people are ruining the town

Wendy Black (Roxburgh, 2020-05-17)

#231

Our mayor is an idiot. Enough said

Cody Begg (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#232

Not happy with what they are doing to our city. They just ignore the rate payers

Mary Waitere (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#233

The council is wasting ratepayers money on projects that are not a priority. They do not have a mandate to carry out the changes and they are creating an eyesore in the CBD.

sheree fairhurst (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#234

The council are continuing to go ahead with projects while ignoring community objections

Nate Purches (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#236

The retailers affected and wider public are continually being ignored as to their wishes regarding any CBD developments e.g. George Street. The fact that signage had already been ordered prior to public being advised without a due consultation process and in spite of a 6000 signature petition is proof of a hidden agenda.

Warren Voight (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#239

Because our city looks like its been attacked by kids with crayons. Decisions being made without public opinion.

Dean Hayes (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#246

this council is not listening to the ratepayers and citizens

Sally Williams (Waikouaiti, 2020-05-17)

#248

Hawkins is a plonker, who doesnt believe in democracy and doesnt care about anything other than his own hippen agenda

Tj Glover (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#250

Pissed off ratepayer..

Neil Sutherland (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#252

This is an appalling Council making appalling decisions. It’s legacy will be a hub in a “cold wind tunnel”designed for buses not people, an embarrassing failed experiment to remove vehicles from the Octagon & now an attempt to effectively pedestrianise the CBD by stealth, using the COVID-19 situation as a weak excuse. There was no public consultation yet signage was all pre-arranged.

Jackie Dalziel (Dunedin, 2020-05-17)

#257

I feel the council is not listening to the people that elected it

Lorraine Clark (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#259

Time for the Mayor to stand down and let the person who should be Mayor take his place i.e Lee van der Viss.

hazel Salter (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#260

The Mayor & Councillors are destroying Dunedin!!!!
We Need Them Gone

Fiona Grant (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#263

they are wasting money, if they want to do something then upgrade playgrounds for kids and replace black rubbish bags with bins. They are free in other city's like Invercargill so why not here. stop wasting money and do something more positive

Linda Scanlon (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#269

I’m shifting back to Dunedin

Gary Brodie (Clyde, 2020-05-18)

#270

We are being ignored

Susan Barnett (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#273

The Mayor and some of the Council are doing absolutely nothing to promote this City and I think it's only going backwards in leaps and bounds, especially 10kmh in George St.

Alistair Grant (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#277

Such a waste of taxpayers money painting circles on the road. When wet will be slippery. Possibly a better idea could have been to just temporarily make the parking spots (accept for delivery vans/trucks drop off parks) into walkways using bollards or road cones and maybe reducing the speed to 30k.

Lyn Johnsen (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#278

The mayor makes outrageous decisions with rate payers money which is making living very hard and expensive

Chad Patrick (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#279

He’s a dick

Samara Keen (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#284

The decisions relating to the CBD have been poor

Robert Hartmann (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#287

No consultation with those concerned regarding speed limit and roading changes.

Malcolm Lloyd (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#288

The mayor has hidden agenda

Aaron Aitcheson (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#292

I am totally against what this council is doing to George St against the majority of peoples wishes

Lesley Matthews (Harwood, 2020-05-18)

#295

Hawkins has to go why cull supported the pothead plus the fact the only other reason he got in was the single transferrable vote system which has to go with the sò called mayor.

Russell Procter (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#296

there needs to be consultation prior to law changes

Russ Byfield (Christchurch, 2020-05-18)

#303

i agree with the person that has started this petition as i no long believe the mayor has any idea what he is doing nor is qualified to hold a job with any authority

Angela tackney (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#305

I don't believe it's necessary to drop the speed limit so low and believe that it will cause too much traffic congestion in the area.
I often have to drive through the CBD for work and it will slow me down even more than it already does.

Karen Vrdoljak (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#313

The*****er is just trying to justify his pedestrian only street.

Michael Simona (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#315

we need leadership not dictatorship. public
consultation;
infrastructure,not idealist structures,built!!!

barry gibbons (dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#317

Doing a terrible job.no public influence in their decisions.

Nathan Paterson (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#318

Because it is going to kill the Main Street and make traffic Congestion a major problem specially with the hospital now I’ve been built crazy ideas.

Steve Croy (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#323

The Mayor has been missing in action over Level 4,3,2 lockdowns

Brendan Woods (Mosgiel, 2020-05-18)

#328

I’m signing this petition because the council clearly had its own agenda that had nothing to do with Covid-19. Social distancing in the Octagon and Main Street, empty without tourists and now without locals, sadly isn’t an issue. They have solved a problem that didn’t exist! But sadly they have created even more problems for struggling businesses.

Sue Graham (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#330

The new town speed limit is stupid

Patience Willitts (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#333

The council has noidea what this city needs and is forever wasting money on the most pathetic things. The whole country is in turmoil and the DCC need to listen and look long and hard at anything that needs to be done. They should take heed and do Essential things only.

Pam Palmer (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#334

I'm signing because I have lost confidence in the Dunedin City Council's ability to make sound decisions which benefit retailers, rather they have a green agenda against cars. Cars are however necessary in a small town with hilly suburbs and which is the centre of a rural region.

Peter Ripley (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#338

I am not happy with how ratepayers money is being spent!

Shannon Dickson (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#340

I'm signing this petition to remove the current mayor Aaron Hawkins, David Benson Pope and ultimately Sue Bidrose

Wayne Marshall (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#348

Not listerning to the public and really amature.

simon lambert (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#353

I am annoyed by the council are implementing change with no public consultation.

chris sayers (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#355

They are choking the local economy

Jarred Morgan (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#357

Because i think mayor hawkins is a clown

henry ruan (dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#360

The way this was done. Due process please, public consultation (and then this should be taken into consideration and not ignored).

Phillipa Jack (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#361

The way that DCC consult the public wasn’t done publicly without consulting public or business stop owners in the affected CBD

Peter Lim (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#362

They need to listen to the people!

Jillian Obbeek (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#369

Aaron Hawkins has got to go!

Simon Smith (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#373

The council appear to be hell bent on pedestraining the inner city without any consideration of the public and business owners. I agree that the lower Octagon would be a good area to pedestrianise but leave George St as it is. What's going to happen when Cadburys demolition and hospital build start closing SH1?

Gregor Chrystal (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#378

It's my city, and I don't like what's being done to it.

Derek Gunn (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#382

We need to keep things moving not slow it down

Richard Farquhar (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#385

We need an adult and a leader as mayor not a little boy who cant drive

Shannon Moore (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#386

I am signing as I have absolutely no faith in the decision making ability of the current Mayor and Councillors.
They simply refuse to listen to the actual wishes of the rate payers and are bulldozing through their own ideological agenda.

Gary Hatton (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#388

Because I have no confidence in our Council and Mayor and do not believe they can make viable decisions for Dunedin

Maria Hatton (DUNEDIN, 2020-05-18)

#393

I, m not happy in the way the council is heading with Dunedin as a city.

Gerard Breese (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#396

I feel that Aaron Hawkins is on a personal crusade. I admire his ideals, but reality is quite a different thing.
Also, if he is so set against reducing our carbon footprint by not driving a car, then he should not expect other people to drive him in their cars.

Wayne Obbeek (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#397

This council has no clue how to run a city

Joel Theissen-Papp (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#399

Recent decisions made by the council are affecting my ability to earn and work within the city.

Henry Greenslade (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#400

The people are not being advised of such rapid changes, the Covid19 is being used to take power in all avenues and minimise the right to people to be advised and apart of. We people pay your wages do we not? So who do you represent or work for??

Sharna Smith (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)
