I live in Waterloo just off the N20. The "minor "changes they have made already with closing our junction have impacted us very much. We are now on a country rd dealing with extra traffic from previous junction to ours, travelling at great speed as there is no limits marked on it. It has also split a community in 2. Little or no respect shown for this. This plan for some major road would be better served in areas further up. Stretch of Rd from Cork to Mallow is far superior to other sections. Waste of money im sure the country does not have.

The navy route is the wrong option for multiple reasons (economic, environmental, heritage, overall health and safety of locals, accessibility and social inclusion, integration and physical activity).

Brian O'Sullivan (Cork, 2021-01-03)

#226

My 89 year old mother lives directly on the route in the house my father was born in 1922 and all my family grew up in. Also it wipes out the whole community that we grew up with/in.

This is a disastrous, unnecessary piece of infrastructure

paul moriarty (Blarney, 2021-01-03)

#237

I object to this as so many pe6will have to loose their homes..
Totally unfair proposal.

Pete Courtney (Laois, 2021-01-03)

#242

I’m signing this because this proposal affects my parents home of 33 years. Their whole lives would be upturned and affect us all in so many ways.
This is where I still call home though I lived in New Zealand for 9 years. Please pick a different option and keep this beautiful, quiet piece of Ireland as it is.

Jean Houlihan (Wellington, 2021-01-03)

#243

This proposed Navy route will decimate our community. Many alternative options are available.

Hilary Buckley (Stoneview , Blarney , Cork, 2021-01-03)

#244

People are living in countryside for gettting the peace. The N20 is in good condition but maybe need improvements (lights, ...).

Dorren Duby (Mourneabbey, 2021-01-03)

#268

I very strongly oppose the navy route

Bill Ryan (Cork, 2021-01-03)

#269

It seems unnecessary to build a new road when a perfectly good road exists already that just requires an upgrade. Given that planning is being sought in this area to erect windmills to help reduce the state's carbon footprint on one hand and then on the other hand planning for a motorway which represents a source of continuous emissions of various pollutants, causes permanent physical changes to the landscape and disturbs the natural conditions of the plant and animal communities. This seems counterproductive.

Agnes Linehan (Cork, 2021-01-03)

#284

Friends in the area mean that I visit regularly. This is open and lovely country that needs to be carefully preserved.

Rebecca Naughton (Forestville, 2021-01-03)

#286

I object to navy route because the green route is a better option for the tax payer and offers less disruption to the environment and community in the long term. I would be most in favour of building a high quality dual carriage way from Mallow to Cork along the current N20 route.

Sadie Browne (Cork, 2021-01-03)

#287

Nobody wants a motorway dissecting their property when there is a perfectly suitable road system, ripe for expansion, in place already.

Stephanie O'Sullivan (Cork, 2021-01-03)

#288

The navy route will take half of the farm I live on and hope to farm one day I am in agricultural college in 1st year so this road would ruin my chance to farm on my family farm.
