There are no green spaces left in Idle and Thackley due to housing developments 😡

Trisha Wastell (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#206

I live in the area and it would be a shame to loose more green space to new builds

Chloe Redman (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#209

There is too much building in local area. Where are doctors, schools, Green space, dentists etc to accommodate all this plus excess traffic in an already conjested area

Mavis Todd (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#210

We have lost to much green land.
We Need open spaces
We need local walking
We don’t want heavy loads and machinery for months on end resulting in more damaged roads to the area.

Stephen Reynolds (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#215

Preserve green open space in BD10.

Joshua Mattox (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#220

There are plenty of empty homes in Bradford, we need to protect the green space, not destroying it by allowing developers to build 4/5 bedroom homes that the average Bradfordian cannot afford.

Marc Dewhirst (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#221

Too much greenspace in the area disappearing. Increased traffic etc.

Lawrence Gallagher (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#223

Don’t want more houses taking up more green space in the area.

Daniel Carr (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#226

There is already enough green space sacrificed to housing in this area

Sandra Brown (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#227

Enough houses have been built in Idle and Thackley the roads, schools cannot support more cars or people

Steve Miles-Turner (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#230

The green space around Thackley and Idle is disappearing rapidly and if further development is allowed on these green areas it will soon all disappear. We need to keep these areas as once they have gone there is no going back

Nigel Hughes (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#231

The amount of building on green spaces in BD10 is ridiculous

Jenny Thompson (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#233

I live on the Cote Farm estate and there is enough housing in Thackley at the moment. The infrastructure cannot support more cars and people.

Susan Walkington (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#234

I’m signing because this is green space Thackley and Idle do not need any more new houses

John Clough (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#237

we need greener in idle and thackley, plus already too much traffic, pollution, not enough school

amy everett (bradford, 2021-09-10)

#238

Objection to housing due to gradual loss of green space in idle and thackley

Joanna Clough (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#241

The roads, schools & facilities around Idle, Thackley cannot cope with anymore houses, we just don’t have the infrastructure! Plus it’s one of only the few remaining green spaces left.

Abi McCullen (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#242

There is too much beautiful green space disappearing, too much traffic around this small area already
We don’t want a new-build concrete jungle

Kirsty James (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#243

We must retain some green space in Idle/Thackley. There is enough development going on and the traffic pollution and loss of green space is ridiculous now

Jaine Ellison (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#245

I am concerned about the wildlife, the people and the environment if you keep building in the same place. There are empty houses but also plenty of space in more affluent areas , share out the building, stop destroying everything that makes this area decent and pleasant just because you are greedy. Shame on you !

Lynda Salthouse (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#246

Soon there won’t be any green space left and they certainly don’t need more and more housing.

Deirdre Jennings (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#250

There are enough brownfield site around Bradford to build on the is absolutely no justification for the destruction of our city's green spaces

Jonathan Barras (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#251

Idle and Thackley are in dabger of overdevelopment and ouf green spaces are importznt for residents wellbeing. I wholeheatedly support housing development in 'top of town' Oastler area.

Denis Spence (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#252

I’m signing because the access to this site is not suitable and will be unsafe. This area has been agreed by Bradford Council as not available for housing. The infrastructure is not in place to support these additional families.

Sue Williams (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#255

I'm signing because I'm m completely fed up of Idle and Thackley being used to put up more and more homes!! It's a desirable place to live because of its green space so STOP BUILDING ON IT!!!

Lindsay Bruce (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#256

Leave some of the green land please. Wildlife will die off. There are enough buildings, repair the derelict ones, leave the green spaces how they should be, green!

Jayne Craven (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#259

I grew up on idle Moor before any of the houses were built it was a lovely area to be allowed to play like children should be able to.

Wendy Kilshaw Was Shaw (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#266

We need to keep the green space in this area,
the number of houses exceeds to projected population increase, and the local infrastructure cannot handle this increase of houses/people/cars this will bring

Emma Rimmer (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#267

I'm signing because building on green space is disrespectful to people who live in the surrounding area who use these green spaces as an escape from everyday life, these green Areas are home to wildlife and a place for local Residents to enjoy and relax, building on these will decrease the quality of life local residents and local wildlife

Craig Milner (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#269

I am signing this petition because there are too many houses being built in this area and the roads are not suitable for more traffic. And there is a a shortage of school places and amenities.

Margaret East (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#270

Bradford has little enough green spaces we shouldn’t be losing some of what we have left

Norma Copley (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#273

I don’t want to loose any more green space. This land has been a sanctuary for people in lockdown. All yr round the wildlife is wonderful. Please don’t destroy any more land. The access to this site is also impossible.

Helen Holmes (bradford, 2021-09-10)

#278

I'm signing because there has to be curbs on this relentless house building in green spaces. Idle Moor is an ancient place my Grandfather found a flint arrow head on this Moor, each generation should be custodians to preserve what is important. Brown field sites are more expensive to develop but still profitable and house building companies should be made to utilise this resource first. Urban regeneration is much more important than desecration of green spaces for all. Without green belt, mental health issues are only going to worsen as there will be no open spaces to unwind.
Building more houses round Idle now has no social value just profiteering by a few to the detriment of many.
I may not live in Yorkshire now but Idle is where I grew up and where my family is.
Idle and Apperley Bridge are being systematically ruined, each time I visit more of what I remembered is going under concrete. Its nothing short of vandalism

Andrew Hill (Wotton-under-Edge, 2021-09-10)

#282

There are too many houses and many not even occupied!! Also schools are already full mainly primary with waiting lists. Where will the children of these new houses go? We need more schools before we build houses. Mainly my reason is I want to keep the lovely green spaces for walks and play and do not want it spoiling by building yet more houses!

Catherine McDougall (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#285

There are far too many houses being built in the Idle/Thackley area. Bradford council are taking every bit of green space they can and it’s scandalous. We need to keep the green spaces that are left in this area.
Living on top of each other is no good for anybody and it needs to stop now.
Start fixing up derelict property which blight many areas of Bradford, before using green space.

Carolyn Relton (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#291

There are far too many developments taking away green spaces. The over development of idle, Thackley, Greengates is out of proportion- decreasing wildlife habitats. Increasing pollution. The infrastructures in these areas is never upgraded to support the increase in population.

Sue Evans (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#292

I cannot stand to see MORE urban green space being built on! BD10 is already packed to the rafters with new build housing estates - leave our remaining green space alone! Bradford Council has thousands of empty properties - let it put money into those if people need more housing.

Susan Handley (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#295

I have recently moved to Idle (April 2021) and love dog walking on this lovely green space. Please do not build on it. Once it's gone, it's gone forever!
Rob

Robert Mclean (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#297

We are losing our green spaces

Glenyce Spear (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#299

I love local to idle and its a lovely place to live with beautiful scenery. We have lost alot of this already.

Zoe Wood (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#300

There’s is already too many households and cars with the only access road via Green lane

Terry Williams (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#303

We need to keep the green space, too many houses

Sarah Spencer (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#304

I love walking on Idle Moor with my children! There is very little greenery left and this has to be saved!!!

Nicola Temple (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#307

We need to save out green space

Karl Parratt (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#312

We do not need any more house we need field and grass for our children

Diane O’Grady (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#313

There isn't going to be any green space left in Idle soon.
Build in other parts of Bradford but you wouldn't get as much council tax from the rest of Bradford.
Corrupt Council I'll bet there's a few back handers going on!

Julie Shackleton (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#316

1: spoiling green land for wildlife.
2: not enough space in school.
3: not enough space in gps
4: entrance to narrow for more traffic.

Amy Fontaine (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#318

I want to save the last piece of green in my area.
There are no places available in the local schools, you cannot find a place in an NHS dentist. Doctors are full. There is no infrastructure to support any more houses.

Elaine O'Hagan (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#319

There are homes enough already. Over development is causing more problems than it is solving and is for profit only.

Emma Johnson (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#320

To save our green space!

Tanya Knox (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#321

All green space in Thackley is being used for development, we do not need more housing

Julia Atkinson (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#323

We need the green space. The area is already congested and we don’t need it to be more over populated.

Sinitta Chohan (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#325

There’s enough 7 used housing in the area yet not enough green space. We need to look after what we’ve got. There’s already not enough doctors, schools (both primary and secondary) to support those living in the area. It’s got to stop now!

Karen Crowley (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#329

This space is valuable to the local community both as a dog walking and recreational area.

Jennifer Plows (BRADFORD, 2021-09-10)

#331

We must not loose anymore green spaces

Heather Wilson (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#333

I believe there are enough houses already been built in our area. We currently have 3 other building projects under way. There are no plans to increase doctors, school places etc and this project will put extra strain on this too!

Alison Copley (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#335

Idle and thackley has already lost a lot of its green land already and local schools and doctors are already over prescribed, causing traffic problems around schools. When are they going to stop building on green belt land and adding to this problem.

Susan Carroll (Bradford, 2021-09-10)

#338

Our schools, doctor’s surgeries and roads are overcrowded as it is. When will this madness stop? Save our green spaces

Kathryn Anderson (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#341

I don’t agree with taking away our green space.

Carly Newsholme (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#346

I feel there's too many houses being built at the moment, not enough dentists, doctors or schools in the area already , the land is used by walkers , people with young children for safe exercise too ,seems a shame to start building on it , Bradford is depressing enough without taking away the greenery.

Karen Garner (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#349

You should not be swallowing up even more green spaces!

Lisa Smithies (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#351

The infrastructure cannot cope with more houses being built and the green areas are fast diminishing around the area. The constant development has to stop.

Lesley Brook (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#360

I live adjacent to Idle moor and I am sick of houses taking up beautiful green areas just to line the pockets of building developers. There are brown sites within Bradford that would be eminently better sited to provide affordable housing to people that require it instead of building housing just for people who want to move up the housing ladder (in other words houses that are not really needed)

David Scourfield (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#362

It’s a designated green space in an already heavily built on area.
Keep it green!.

Stuart Somers (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#372

This is local to my home . There is already far too much traffic and we need to keep green space

Thelina Oram (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#373

This will impact the recreational green space between idle and wrose villages joining them up to form a single mass of housing. Local infrastructure and roads are already struggling to cope with other new build residential influx. The new development wil be visible on the skyline as viewed from salts mill in saltaire which is against local planning guidance. In addition the suggested access route in to the new development will take traffic through narrow streets with sharp corners increasing the likelihood of accidents and pedestrian injuries.

Adrian Saunders (BRADFORD, 2021-09-11)

#374

Where are all these people going to be schooled. We haven't enough schools and Health centers as it is. Without building more houses. We haven't enough green space as it it.

JOSE KNOWLES (Idle BRADFORD, 2021-09-11)

#377

I live on Far Highfield Close and already we have too much traffic on Green Lane and surrounding roads. Also I walk my dog on Idle moor and it’s already been diminished.

Carol Hooley (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#379

Enough is enough....whole area is overdeveloped

Chris Schofid (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#380

Use the 8k empty houses and buildings instead of taking land. All around Bradford I see houses boarded up. Get the Council into gear and make them livable for the homeless. Make the homeless the agenda!

Michelle Hallam (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#388

I want to protect what little green space we have left. Better to refurbish older houses/buildings/derelict areas.

Michelle Coulter (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#396

I moved to the area as it was beautiful, unspoilt and had lots of green space giving it a villagy feel. I think I would move if any more houses are built in the area.

Sharon Neilson (Bradford, 2021-09-11)

#397

We need more green space not less - surely recent events have proved that for the benefit of people’s physical and mental health.

There’s plenty of brownfield sites waiting to be developed
