I’m signing because pastina is part of my Italian American upbringing. It’s my comfort food when I’m not feeling well or when I’m sad. Its one of the things my great grandmother from Sicily used to make for me when I was a little girl and ever since I have kept a box in my home for my kids to grow up with as well. I want them to have a taste of my childhood and of their culture. It would be a true loss to not be able to share a part of my life with them. I can’t imagine saying “When I was little my favorite food was pastina” and for them not to know it.Krystal Beck (Ocala, 2022-12-28)
