I want to support the coffee trough and I think shutting it down would be unfair and would more negatively impact the community and business owner than it would positively impact it. Society needs to put their ego aside and wish success upon others and help them get there when possible!Jay Giameos (Kingscote, 2024-02-05)

Christine and her staff have been incredibly welcoming to everyone who visits the property. My husband and I enjoy visiting Christine weekly, and spend time sitting in the garden meeting like-minded people whilst we enjoy a beautiful coffee. When we have passed neighbours as we walk in the gates, they are friendly and welcoming.Kathryn Galloway (Seaford, 2024-02-05)

I truly believe that we need more community catch up places and the vibe is always incredible here. We believe it's is extremely unfair to take something so special away from our locals and tourists alike which is in turn takes away from them supporting multiple other Fleurieu businesses.Gabriela Bebnowski (Moana, 2024-02-05)

We have an incredible community down south. It’s a perfect spot to grab a coffee and have our kids be entertained while we wait. It’s no different to it being on the street near the beach. Let’s celebrate this amazing women and what she is doingKimberley Hopkins (Adelaide, 2024-02-05)

The Coffee Trough provides a fabulous and welcoming space for all members of the community, much of which wouldn’t be possible in a regular mobile vending set-up. We’ve met so many people and discovered new local businesses while waiting for our orders each week. Walking over to Tiller Drive is a staple and highlight of our weekends.Alexandra Sohl (Adelaide, 2024-02-05)

I’m signing this petition because The Coffee Trough has been such a beautiful place to go on the weekend and during the week for both myself and my Son. My Son has loved going to Christine’s place on a Wednesday morning before school to swing in their silk swing and enjoy his warm chocolate with marshmallow and cheese croissant whilst I have a chat with whom ever is there as the community who come to the coffee trough are brilliant. Everyone is and has been so kind and chatty. It’s been great for the days where I’ve not spoken to another adult due to being a FIFO wife, I’ve made beautiful friendships and business connections. The coffee trough is more than just brilliant coffee & food. It is a place to few comfortable to chat with the amazing community and meet so many of the amazing people from our local area.

The Coffee Trough for me is a beautiful family atmosphere place to catch up with various locals that we have only gotten to have know through Christine who is the beautiful caring person who owns it. Christine has created a beautiful place for families, friends, elderly people & complete strangers to gather & enjoy coffee & food & spend time chatting. We as a family have met so many different people to chat to which you otherwise wouldn’t do if in a coffee shop or along the Esplanade. The space that The Coffee Trough has created at Tiller Drive is the best thing that has happened to the Seaford community bringing all sorts of different people together. Every single person that goes there says it’s a beautiful place for all. Elderly people love being able to sit at the tables provided under shelter from the hot sun or the rain as they are still able to get out for a coffee and mix with people. This is very important for their mental health & we all love catching up with them. Christine also supports so many other small local businesses too by trading from Tiller Drive & should be left alone to do so. Leave the Coffee Trough where they are. Small businesses do it tough enough as it is.Jenni Schutz (Seaford, 2024-02-05)

I am fully supportive of the Coffee Trough and its place in our local community. Twice a week I will walk there with my family for a chat with other locals and to support a local business that should still be able to trade from their front yard, particularly when the event that triggered this, was the redevelopment of the Tiller dr ‘Trough’ Carpark where 55%++ of the carparks were removed, thus making it impossible for Christine to trade from the carpark anymore. I raised concerns about the carpark reduction directly, via email, with the Onkaparinga Council in Feb 2023, but these concerns were simply ignored. So to then shut a business down, when you have caused this issue in the 1st place is poor at best, but not suprising with the local council.Corey Surmn (Seaford, 2024-02-05)
