There needs to be better traffic flow. Very frustrating especially in the wet

I want this road in while my children do attend RJHS and RSH. So we get the benefit of running them into trainings and sports.
Also we go to summerset rototuna to visit their Nana who lives there.
It's a win win to have this road in place. ASAP. The growth in this area is huge.

I live off Moonlight Drive and the amount of traffic that uses this road each day is phenomenal, I can wait for a good 10 minutes during peak traffic to be able to get out of my street onto Moonlight Drive

Lived on moonlight for 6 years and the traffic back up hinders residents but more importantly the amount of children using this street on scooters and bikes shouldn’t have to battle so many cars and traffic jams.

The traffic is a nightmare around here!

It’s imperative roading is prioritised in this area given congestion issues already being faced + safety issues for cyclists & pedestrians. It’s nigh on impossible for these kids to cross rds as it is.

Because it makes sense and is needed

This is a critical safety issue within the area especially with the exceptional growth that this part of Hamilton is experiencing. The traffic counts are rising and the current infrastructure is now inadequate for the high density housing that has been allowed to be installed within this small area of new development.

My main concern is waiting until 2029 to join Borman Road to Horsham Downs Road, although it is certainly very very unsafe on the roads around Kimbrae, Hector, Moonlight, Borman area after school.

As we live in gordonton we have to weave through that heavily built up area which is so congested in the morning it must drive the residents spare.

This will make the area safer for my children to be able to walk to school. We don’t live far from the school but the traffic, speed and congestion in the mornings not only causes huge amounts of stress getting ready in the mornings to be out of the out on time but also is not safe for my children to walk, bike or scooter to school. I see people driving through red lights at the Christian School and discovery park .... don’t want my kids being a statistic

The congestion is crazy and dangerous at times

To ease the traffic congestion around Rototuna High Schools

Denise Hayward (Hamilton, 2021-04-13)

I travel to RJHS regularly and the traffic is hectic. The roundabout by the countdown with the zebra crossing is really dangerous and kids zoom along on their bikes and you get stuck in the middle of the round about.

I drive this area daily, fear for the lives of kids walking, biking, scootering in congested school zones.

We live in the Summerset retirement village. The traffic is getting busier all the time, especially are school drop off and pick up. It would take the pressure off everyone, if this extension get finish sooner.

I'm signing this petition because the Hamilton City Councilors have their priorities in the wrong order. HCC exists to meet the growing needs of the City. The Councilors exist to provide oversight and governance and ensure the needs of the community are met by HCC. HCC please do not rely on receiving developers contributions before implementing road corridors. Make the roads and infrastructure and hold the developers accountable. The consents were granted - you knew the problem would appear - be proactive and not reactive - if the councilors or senior HCC management were exposed to this issue on a daily basis it would be remedied by now. This change needs to happen to match the growth of the area and provide safe transport

It would make it easier fo me to visit Somerset Retirement Village and not have to weave past houses

I support the Borman road extension being completed a.s.ap. to cater for increased traffic flow.

I’m signing because the noise of all the traffic effects me

Michelle Gunn (Hamilton, 2021-04-14)

I live in this area and will improve traffic flow

Yvonne de Beer (Hamilton, 2021-04-14)

I'm. Signing up for the petitions, because I live off Borman Road.
We need improved road so our family and neighbors feel safe. Specially around horshimdowns road and Borman Road.

Increased housing and congestion on the roads during school hours would be helped.

Ann Robbie (Hamilton, 2021-04-14)

I'm signing this because I believe that it will reduce congestion on moonlight drive and Kimbrae drive, which will make access to the Junior high school and Te Totara primary school better.

Crystal Leith (Hamilton, 2021-04-14)

It will benefit our community tremendously.

Jennifer O’Rourke (Hamilton, 2021-04-14)

It make sense that this is a priority. Our children and older people need to be as safe as possible and the roads currently are not safe.

Tamara Liu (Hamilton, 2021-04-14)

#509

This is an investment that makes sense to do earlier.

Adam Paul (Hamilton, 2021-04-16)

My son attends RJHS and we live off new borman rd, the extension would save us time & less road crossings needed when he is biking. Also will provide less congestion around the schools. Definitely support this extension to be made a priority!

Jenny Murdie (Hamilton, 2021-04-17)

I am signing because I used to live on North Ridge drive 2 years ago. My daughter continues to go to Hamilton Christian School and we also make use of the Peak. I have a good idea what traffick looks like and with an increase in population due to new build it is only going to get worse. The new road extension will be great?

Nita Lorigan (Hamilton, 2021-04-24)

Of the horrific traffic jams in the mornings which will be made worse when Kay rd closes.
