I want Marple to be a safe place to live and bring up families and let senior citizens and everyone feel safe going out and in their own home.Joan Monds (Marple Stockport, 2021-07-24)

The awful experience my mum had with a group of young men cornering her car and trapping her in with their, whilst displaying threatening behaviour (banging on car) in brabyns Cark Park. No police around and 999 didn't answer until after 5 minutes once they left. She now feels unsafe walking around in Marple and scared that they will see her again. More policing is definitely needed to help residents feel safe againSancha Conway Holroyd (Greater Manchester, 2021-07-24)

Fed up with feral children ruining beautiful spaces all over Stockport. More consequences need to be brought about for people that have no respect for other people or property. If parents can’t police their children give the police more power to do it for them.

This is a great area to live and to raise children. We shouldn't have to put up with some other people's children who have no respect for others or the law.Angela McCann (Marple, 2021-07-25)

There is way too much crime in Marple and the residents shouldn't have to put up with it.I want to feel safe walking my dogs in an evening not avoiding places like the park because of the disgraceful anti social behaviour. I am not particularly scared for myself as I have transport and alternative places to go, but scared for people who are unable to defend themselves against these youths and have no alternative but to use the park to exercise their dogs.

It's shocking that people are living in fear of attack whilst walking down the road or going to the local park, almost on the doorstep of the Community Police Station. Due to the nature and frequency of these appalling assaults, it's hard to digest that police resource hasn't already been assigned, rather than the community having to ask for it. Thankfully, some of the victims have shared their traumatic experiences, so let's hope all the potential victims get some degree of protection soon. Thankyou..

As a long time Marple resident I am concerned about the recent increase in anti social behaviour in the town which appears to go unpunished. Like many others, I feel that, so far, the police have let us down and something needs to be done before law abiding people are too scared to go out and about their normal business in the town.Garry Cash (Stockport, 2021-08-01)

I’m signing because recent events in the area including burglary, car theft and petty crime have been on the increase with little or no visible police response. It seems that little is being done to tackle this rise in crime in the area and there appears to be no police presence. Marple police station should be reopened and more visible forms of policing reinstated to help the community feel that they are being protected and safe from criminal activity.Alan Paterson (Marple Bridge, 2021-08-02)
