Alberta's post-covid future, our economy, our resilience, our health care and education, and our democracy, depend on Albertans being able to receive world class educations. This will be impossible if we fail to pay our post-secondary educators competitive salaries and refuse to grant them the respect and fair working conditions they deserve.

I’m signing because i believe the faculty staff shouldn’t be worked so hard for the income they receive.

Alberta professors have been strained by COVID 19, and giving them fair pay and designation of hours is only right. CUE has treated me with so much warmth and kindness, and it's disgusting to see that being torn apart. Let's hope the strike comes to an end soon and hope CUE gives in.

It’s appalling to me that an institution with the highest tuition in the city has the lowest paid staff in the city.

As a student currently attending Concordia, I consider myself fortunate to have been able to receive a high quality education from such dedicated and caring professors. I have witnessed firsthand how hard they work to support and encourage their students, and their passion and commitment is an integral part of this institution. Fair working conditions, including proper compensation, ownership of intellectual property, and job security, are essential to maintaining professor well-being, teaching and learning conditions, and ensuring that future students are able to receive the same calibre of education that I have been lucky enough to receive. I am proud to be a member of this community and to be able to support the Faculty Association during their strike.

I support CUEFA in their fight for fair working conditions and reasonable compensation. I am impressed with the students clear and thoughtful position on this matter.

As a post-secondary instructor, I strongly support the Concordia staff in their quest for fair working conditions, including competitive salaries and job security. I was also shocked to hear about the language Concordia management wanted to insert into the collective agreement regarding expansion of grounds for dismissal of staff. Education is about the student experience, and about student success, not merely a financial game to be played to the detriment of staff and students.

I have a huge respect to the faculty as they are always trying their best to provide a quality learning to all students of Concordia University of Edmonton. I believe that they are all acting in good faith and they deserve the increase of salary for providing quality experience to all students.

I believe in rights for workers that aren’t determined by an outdated capitalist greed hungry university, student and especially faculty deserve better conditions and better support that aren’t being looked at by the university, who are making sure everyone knows that they only care about themselves and the money that they steal from the faculties paycheques
