Will Canham (Wondunna, 2022-04-27)

#407

I too would like a Lagoon or Rock Pool built here in the Bay to give Teenagers something to do and give access to a swimming spot for people with High Needs.

Alan Sorensen (Urangan, 2022-04-27)

#408

Would be so good for you hervey bay

I’m signing because there is a great need for a lagoon, it will bring families and communities together and assist those who are less able than ourselves, it is a blessing to all enjoy the great outdoors 🤩

Gail Whitmore (Cooroy, 2022-04-27)

#414

I think something like this would be a great addition to the area.

Geoffrey Hubbard (Toogoom, 2022-04-27)

#418

My daughter would love this

Jessica Russell (Urraween, 2022-04-27)

#420

I believe it’s a great addition to Hervey Bay Tourism, let’s face it the beach is not exactly a surf beach. So a lagoon would be an attraction

Mara Drake (Scarness, 2022-04-27)

#421

All lagoons I’ve been to in QLD have been fantastic. Yeppoon, Redcliffe & Airlie all have one and we should too

Gareth Byrne (Scarness, 2022-04-27)

#423

This would be a great tourist attraction for the Fraser Coast. Money spent here on this project would be far more beneficial to the locals and cheaper than the $100 Million K for a fancy new office.

Clarice Kathage (Booral, 2022-04-27)

#425

its would be an amazing tourism boost for the bay and enhance the beautification and accessibility to our beach lifestyle which is so dependant on tide times

Brian Davis (Craignish, 2022-04-27)

#426

I think it's a wonderful idea older kids need more than wetside as that seems it's more for young kids/toddlers . And the public pool can be so busy sometimes over crowded need more here in the bay.

Lisa Burnett (Hervey Bay, 2022-04-27)

#429

Accessibility improves the quality of life AND the health and fitness of community members with accessibility needs

Sarah Murray (Tiaro, 2022-04-27)

#432

Hervey bay needs to move foward with new age development its not a little town any more we need to upgrade everything now is the time for a better bay

Brendan Link (Hervey bay, 2022-04-27)

#433

Hervey bay is a great place to live and visit but we need more things for families to do, especially older kids. This would be an attraction for tourists and an asset to locals. Other areas that have them look great and are very popular.

Linda Reid (Hervey Bay, 2022-04-27)

#438

Absolutely think it's a great idea as sharks have been seen close to our beach shores seen them as i metal detect along shore line
I certainly would take my grandchildren to such a safe haven and what a tourist draw card

William McCormack (Hervey Bay, 2022-04-28)

#440

It would look beautiful along the foreshore. I have been to the ones at Airlie beach and Redcliffe and they are absolutely beautiful to swim in, relax, share time with family. I am older and wet side is not for me. The pool is also not for me as I have trouble getting into it from mobility issues. The lagoon is something I can just walk straight into. I am also scared of the beach so I don’t go there. Lagoon is the way to go

Jodie Brown (Point Vernon, 2022-04-28)

#443

I too would like a safe swimming area for all my family especially when our small grandchildren visit from Melbourne.

Veronica Turnell (Hervey Bay, 2022-04-28)

#444

For the safety of my son and other children wanting to swim by the ocean in a protected environment

Michelle Fisher (Hervey Bay, 2022-04-28)

Beth Alexander (Kawungan qld, 2022-04-29)

#462

It would be a beautiful safe idea and would be wonderful for everyone especially young kids.
Considering with the number of sharks that get sited not far from shore now too.

Edyn Gosano (Granville, 2022-04-29)

#463

I think this will benefit he community

Craig Taylor (Point Vernon, 2022-04-29)

#464

This would be an asset to the local area. A safe place to swim

#466

It's awesome

Gareth ellingham (Pialba, 2022-04-30)

#468

I believe we need one

Bob Turnbull (Toogoom, 2022-04-30)

#470

I believe Hervey Bay residents and visitors alike will benefit from a project such as this. Safe, family orientated, swimming area with areas for all to enjoy would help us compete for more tourists. Tidal changes and other hazards in our waters give this idea more credence and allow us to compete with other cities with similar areas.

Julie Mackereth (Pialba, 2022-04-30)

#474

I think it would be beneficial here for families and I come.from Cairns and they have an amazing lagoon their which is enjoyed by many including tourists

Wendii Easton (Hervey bay, 2022-05-01)

#479

Karyn Dixon (Gold Coast, 2022-05-02)

#482

Think this will be a great idea. My son has high needs and this would be excellent place to get him used to beaches and swimming/ playing

Leila Hayes (Maryborough, 2022-05-04)

#486

I’m a young adult whose trying to find more places to visit and travel to with my friends and partner and unfortunately there isn’t quite that much in the Fraser coast area for us young adults to do and this lagoon could lead to something more relaxing for us outdoorsy young adults I really look forward to seeing this being added into the Fraser coast region

Amber Clough (Hervey Bay, 2022-05-05)

#493

Yes that would be great
We have a business in Hervey Bay and we love all the work that the council have done

Joanne Sue Mcfarlane (Congarinni North, 2022-05-10)

#494

It’s needed

Bryan Michelle (Point Vernon, 2022-05-10)

#497

With so much Esplanade, and sharks in the ocean close to shore, this would be of great benefit! I not thinking of myself as I have a pool and live on a beach however thinking of many local tourists and locals.
Also I am a part of the chronic pain support group and the beach mats for the wheelchairs are always accessible (out for use)
If many towns also the coast can have a wonderful attraction like this then why can't Hervey Bay? Our Population is growing by the thousands, whilst we used to be the retirement town, this is quickly changing!

Ratea Dart (Burrum Heads, 2022-05-11)

#499

I think it’s much safer for elderly people to have a place like this

Doug Vlaanderen (Urangan, 2022-12-18)

#500

This will provide further tourist interest, increasing income into the area and also providing locals with another resource.

Ian Eagles (URANGAN, 2022-12-18)

#504

Lived there for 17 years and feel its needed.

Lisa Murphy (Innisfail, 2023-02-25)

#507

We need this in Hervey Bay .

Maria Quesada (Hervey Bay, 2023-04-01)

#516

It’s long overdue that local children have a constant place to swim that’s safe, not just children but adults too.

Keith Leigh (Hervey Bay, 2024-01-04)

#534

I have a daughter with a disability

Jason Galea (Burrum Heads, 2024-01-04)

#537

I would use a beachfront lagoon pool and my family and friends would also when they visit Hervey Bay.

Craig Jones (URANGAN, 2024-01-04)

#539

Fantastic idea to allow all community members, full access to safe swimming, regardless of ability or mobility. Welldone!

Carolle Jensen (Point Vernon, 2024-01-04)

#549

Because we need more activities in the bay

Tara-lee Coates (Hervey bay, 2024-01-04)

#561

This is the perfect idea for those with different abilities on a hot summers day. Great tourist and family attraction to the forever growing area. It would make hervey bay swimming more worth its while.

Stephanie Lucas (Maryborough, 2024-01-04)

#567

It is the one thing lacking in Hervey Bay, it would be wonderful to have a facility like Yeppoon

Karen Lemt (Booral, 2024-01-04)

#569
