I’m signing due to the unrealistic expectations and demands of LPN’s in NL. Increased scope of practice and responsibility without fair renumeration, and also the lack of recognition LPN’s experience in the local nursing profession.

The province of NL need to see who we really are and our competencies. We ARE nurse and are vital to how our Healthcares operations present and future. We deserve to be recognized as Nurses not hospital supports. The public as well need to see us as nurses not as nurses aid/assist.

LPNs have been used for RN replacements for years. Since the first medication course I've done, besides others ... I've never had a pay raise for such.

I’m signing because I am an LPN

Our scope of practice as LPN’s and the responsibilities attached to holding a nursing license is not reflected on our pay scale.

I am signing this petition because myself and the Licensed Practical Nurses of this province deserve the recognition for the care and dedication that we provide to our clients each and everyday.

I’m a PN in training! We are nurses

Our LPNs are not paid fairly for the amount of responsibility they have. They don’t even have proper coverage for their patients. Way too often mandated to stay to give out meds the next morning but the whole shift is not filled. It’s not good enough

Give the nurses the credit they deserve.they work extremely hard long hours .They go above and beyond. They deserve higher wages .

I’m signing this petition because LPNs are nurses too … and should be treated as valued health care professionals!

I have been an LPN for ten years, and I have just completed my BSCN via the bridging program. By doing this, I lost ten years seniority even though I remain with the same employer. I had to go back to get my BSCN, becausew I love nursing, and I got absolutely no respect for the care I provided as an LPN. RN’s who did less than half the work I did, were the “nurse” on my long term care unit, even though these “nurses” did no medications, assessments, or much of anything really outside of filling out staffing sheets and complaining. It is ridiculous that some units, such as my old unit, were “LPN lead.” No extra pay or training, for an RN to oversee the charge duties you had to have on top of medications and a patient care assignment. Ridiculous. This province is also only one of few where we are in separate unions. This is long overdue!

I am an LPN in newfoundland and feel that our government and public have failed to recognize us for what we are. We are a vital, critical part of the Healthcare team who's job summery and roles and responsibilities needs to be reviewed. We can do so much within our scope than we are permitted and compensated for.

I am an LPN who would like to see this review completed as our scope is ever expanding. We need the recognition.

I’m singing this petition, because I truly believe the LPN’s in this province are in dire need for a job evaluation, and they and not getting paid their worth.

LPN’s are an important part of the Health Care Team. They deserve recognition for their skills, education and experience. Our entire Health Care System would fall apart without them. Thank you for everything you do.
