Comments

#401

I live in a neighborhood on camp branch rd. The warehouses have become a real problem and this should not be allowed in a residential area !!!

Courtney Anderson-Rodriguez (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#402

I am against more construction of warehouses. My property value will be affected.

Norba Targa (Dacula, 2024-06-03)

#406

Traffic is already bad for us to commute, this will make it a nightmare

Jennifer Fabelo (Auburn, 2024-06-03)

#411

I don’t want to live in an industrial district.

Anthony Liston (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#413

New warehouses will bring too much traffic on camp branch/gravel springs road. City of Buford might levy taxes.

Abby Wilsonb (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#414

I don’t want more warehouses!

Clint Tucker (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#420

I am against having any more warehouses on Camp Branch or Gravel Springs Road. Camp Branch is a residential area and warehouses with big trucks would not be safe for the community. Gravel Springs Road has enough warehouses and traffic is already an issue.

Pamela Dunlap (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#424

I want neighborhoods kept as neighborhoods for families. Stop encroaching for money.

Mike Moore (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#426

I do NOT support rezoning Camp Branch road and putting more warehouses on the property on Camp Branch and Gravel Springs Road. We have built a beautiful community with houses and neighborhoods that are desirable and keep the town of Buford and the county of Gwinnett an area people are willing to pay to be part of. Adding massive warehouses will take away from the residential feel of the houses that are so close to that area!

Katie Moore (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#437

I'm signing because my neighborhood is located of camp branch and believe this would be inconsistent with houses in this area.

Derrick Cooper (BUFORD, 2024-06-03)

#441

Im concerned about the use of this land for commercial purposes, the traffic it will cause and the affects it will have on property values in the area.

Tim Conti (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#444

We do NOT want to become another Dekalb or Fulton County, littered with warehouses and unsightly businesses!!!

elaine morris (Dacula, 2024-06-03)

#448

Oppose this project!

Jim Walsh (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#456

The warehouses are ruining the look of the land around the area. These warehouses should not be in residential areas and by the mall.

Mary Kirkaldy (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#459

The addition of more warehouse space will create 1) unsafe driving conditions.. Camp Branch rd is already used as a cut-through and traffic has increased exponentially in the past few years. I was driving and Hit and injured a few weeks ago by a driver using it as a cut-thru. 2) The I-85 intersection was approved by Gwinnett County to relieve traffic from the Mall of GA exit. This will create an even worse issue.
3) Property Values will be affected, and my quality of life will be impacted (unsafe roads, increased traffic, Air Quality).

Leroy Penatzer (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#464

Another storage facility is already under construction on Hamilton Mill Road across from Walmart and we just cannot handle more traffic in this area . We need more green space!!!

Linda Thompson (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#465

I AM SIGNING BECAUSE THE TRAFFIC WILL BE TO HEAVY.

JANG LEE (BUFORD, 2024-06-03)

#470

This many warehouses will cause too much pollution near residential areas that are nearby. The idling trucks will cause a lot of pollution.

Neal Gamradt (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#471

You are turning Buford into a undesirable place to live. Camp Branch Road is the crown
jewel of Gwinnett County. We need to preserve it.

Prakash Patel (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#474

I’m signing this because I live off Camp Branch and it will affect the traffic and our home values! Enough with the warehouses near homes and neighborhoods. Find other remote land! What an eye sore!!!

Kim Crow (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#476

There is already too much traffic in this are. Address the traffic problems before you even consider more projects along Gravel Springs and Camp Branch. Try to navigate this area in the mornings and afternoons and you will see what local residents deal with daily.

Linda Meiring (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#483

Enough is enough.

Christina Bennefield (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#485

I hate seeing all of our wildlife being knocked down for warehouse which causes nothing but ugly surrounding, more traffic, more pollution. Etc..when we should be looking at AFFORDABLE housing for younger generation and parks and recreation centers to keep everyone active. We move out to the suburban area to get away from stuff like this. Or just live the wildlife as it is!! Georgia once upon a time was known as the state of beautiful trees! At the rate of where we are headed now we will have no trees left!

Shaneika Griffin (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#487

This is a residential area and the use is not consistent with the future land use map.

Jeremy Yarbrough (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#488

I’m signing this because there has been too much construction on gravel springs road. Please stop!

Rebecca Hester (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#501

My home and my children. This is our home and our bus stops and it will be completely transformed to a semi truck highway. The new warehouse already up and the 85 connector have already added so much traffic, we will literally just be prisoners in our homes with the added semi trucks and industrial buildings. Please please do not tear down the green land and put warehouses here. It's one of the last bits left thats keeping us from being completely blocked in

Elizabeth Leavitt (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#506

Re-zoning to allow warehouses without any input from immediate surrounding residential home owners is blatantly unfair. Not only are warehouses are an eyesore but their presence without consideration of additional burden to surrounding roads and infrastructure is short sighted and will lead to quality of life rot in the community but also an overall reduction in property values that will spread throughout the area.

Harry Sarkas (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#512

I live nearby and don’t want the buildings by me

Nolan Choe (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#519

I don’t want more warehouses touching my subdivision, and I don’t wish to have trucks causing more traffic and destroying our roads.

Imran Khan (Buford, 2024-06-03)

#526

Gravel springs has enough traffic!!!

Melanie Epps (Dacula, 2024-06-04)

Because this is about a sinister agenda where the American way of life is being Hispanized, pushing it towards decadence; This is how we live in Latin America, the countryside will change to that of cement and only benefits the great oligarchs, ruining quiet and prosperous cities like these.

Natalia Saenz (Buford, 2024-06-04)

#540

I live off Gravel Spring Road. The thought of this is sickening. Buford has no respect for its residents or the amount of traffic this will impose on everyone living close by. Stop the greed and use common sense. Buford doesnt need anymore warehouses.

Wendy Melton (Dacula, 2024-06-04)

While we understand the need for progress and growth, we believe that the current plan poses significant risks to our environment, community aesthetics, and daily lives due to increased traffic.

Environmental Concerns

The proposed development site is home to a variety of local wildlife and serves as an important natural habitat. The construction activities and subsequent urbanization threaten to destroy these habitats, leading to a loss of biodiversity. Additionally, we are concerned about the potential for increased water pollution due to runoff from construction sites, which could affect our local water bodies and the overall ecosystem health.

Traffic Impact

Our community is already experiencing traffic congestion, particularly during peak hours. The addition of new residential or commercial units will undoubtedly exacerbate this issue. Increased traffic not only leads to longer commute times but also raises the risk of accidents, endangering pedestrians and cyclists. Our current road infrastructure is not designed to handle the anticipated increase in traffic volume, which will require significant and costly upgrades.

Aesthetic and Community Character

The charm of our community lies in its serene environment and cohesive architectural style. The proposed development, with its modern infrastructure, threatens to disrupt the visual harmony of our neighborhood. Noise pollution from construction activities and increased vehicular movement post-construction will further detract from the peaceful ambiance we currently enjoy. Moreover, rapid development may lead to a loss of our community’s unique character and identity.

Andrea Moyano (Buford, 2024-06-04)

We want to stop the over building of warehouses in our area. Bringing all the big trucks is a lot of wear and tear on our roads and the big warehouse does not go with the esthetic of our beautiful area.

Gorana Spencer (Dacula, 2024-06-04)

#543

Residential areas are being decimated with NO benefits to the residents who still exist. The good ol’ boy governments need to GO!

Angela Jergler (Buford, 2024-06-04)

#544

The warehouse affected the looks, peace and quite of our area. Everywhere we go, it looks like a commercial zone.

Enough with the warehouses. There are many, many, many in the county and they aren't all filled. The absolutely giant one at Camp Branch and Gravel Springs isn't even complete. This has the appearance of trying to get this done before Mulberry is a city and it becomes more difficult.

Linda Kesselring (Buford, 2024-06-05)

#567

I live off of Camp Branch Rd. It is full of neighborhoods and I do not want warehouses next to the houses.

Martha Rouphael (Buford, 2024-06-08)

#569

We do not need anymore warehouses being built. We don't need City of Buford to have a stronghold over the residents surrounding it.

Sean Ellis (Dacula, 2024-06-09)

We have to protect our residence and our quality of life. Developers can choose to go in the less populated counties.

#573

I would like to see a stop to warehouse and big business in the middle of residential areas

Diko Johnson (Buford, 2024-06-14)

#575

I’m sad to see the concrete jungle taking over all the beautiful land. We don’t need it.

Dana Frasier (Auburn, 2024-06-15)

#578

There is no more room. We are a community of equality, diversity, and can not put our area in this choas. We have schools so close safety is the issue.

Julie Edwards (Buford, 2024-06-25)

#584

I am totally against this inconsiderate and irresponsible construction. City of Buford is authorizing so many warehouses without respect to the residents and no change infrastructure. One wonders if their goal is to change unincorporated Buford into an industrial area at the expense of residents already living here.

Alok Gupta (Buford, 2024-06-25)

#586

I have lived off of Camp Branch road for 15 yrs and despise the current situation with warehouses on Gravel Springs Road. I can’t believe the city of Buford has the ability to annex areas outside the city limit, and then decide to change its zoning to commercial n the middle of residential area! This is damaging the beauty of the area, increasing traffic and making it dangerous for young drivers to deal with truck traffic.

Zainab Khan (Buford, 2024-06-25)

#590

Unacceptable. This is clearly a miss use of power and we deserve representation. Safety on on roads, possible trafficking of our youth, will Buford be policing this trucking area? Oh thats right they depend on County police. Does Gwinnett county have an opinion on this mess?
