I'm signing because my children and their siblings have been educated at this school. It has given my autistic son a chance to have more teacher to pupil time without being overwhelmed by a large classroom of children. My son could have been dismissed socially easily withing a large group of regular kids and it has resulted in great opportunities for him without the teachers and the school itself he would never have the intelectual confidence to be the person he is today. This school is important to me....we need to keep this school especially for others similar to my son and also local children other larger schools have proven to be organised in a military like operation and have equal expectations of all children. The small schools in local towns just like Godshill Primary make many possibilities for the children that attend...please do not destroy the future of our children and difference in the future of proven success

I'm signing because I believe in the educational values of village schools, that they can be a hub for village life, and because my 3 younger children went to Godshill Primary between 1987 and 1996Angela Millard (Ventnor, 2024-09-12)

Your school sounds wonderful, and especially with that new play area and the incredible history behind it, it simply cannot be closed down.Raili Atkins (North Vancouver, 2024-09-19)

Our grand children and great grand child have and are attending Godshill Primary school. It is a very good local school and a happy place for all the children. Many of the pupils can walk to school which negates using more cars and buses to transport to any proposed future place of education - think of the environment !! The school is the hub of the community and a great asset. Do not let it fall by the wayside.Michael Lees (Wroxall, 2024-09-20)

I live in Godshill, these children live together and go to school together - don't separate them and force them into more crowded schools. Keep this historical building alive with purpose, allow local children to attend a local school.Elizabeth Wathen (Isle of wight, 2024-09-25)

I want my child to be able to have a personable teaching experience, shutting our schools increases class sizes and is detrimental to our children’s education. The island has always been proud of our community and educational focus for our children, don’t ruin this.Desia Hammond (Ryde, 2024-10-04)
