Workers served this City and held up their end of the bargain. Workers took these jobs on the promise of how they would be compensated for their dedicated service. The City should honor thier commitment.

Brendan Hagan (Bayside, 2022-03-27)

I NEED TOO. WE NEED OR OLD AND CURRENT MEDICAL INSURANCE

JOHN M MALONEY (ROCKAWAY PARK, 2022-03-27)

#5818

privatizing healthcare is the opposite of the direction we should be going. We need healthcare to support us !

Mariana Regalado (Brooklyn, 2022-03-27)

#5820

I am signing because I am a newly retired city employee who retired on disability and I need to keep seeing my doctors. Most of my doctors will not accept MAPP

Salvatore Santorelli (Staten Island, 2022-03-27)

#5827

I do not want this horrible new plan. The City has broken our retirement health benefits agreement and is lying about all doctors accepting this new plan- among dozens of other things.

Michael G Solomon (New York, 2022-03-27)

#5832

I want to keep the life time benefits that were promised to me . How can the city renga on its promise!

Teresa Kelly (New york, 2022-03-27)

#5836

Health care is a right! The City's provisions for employee health care no longer meets our needs. It needs to be recast to provide maximum coverage at minimal cost - self insurance.

Evelyn Jones Rich (New York, NY, 2022-03-27)

#5838

I’m signing this because I do not want to change my current medical plan to a Medicare advantage plan. I am not alone in this quest and we hope you are hearing us load and clear.

Loretta Calilli (Palm Bay FL, 2022-03-27)

#5840

As a faculty member who will be retiring soon, the changes proposed by the City of New York for current retirees and those contemplating retirement is wrong and unfair.

LaRoi Lawton (Astoria, NY, 2022-03-27)

#5844

It is the right thing to do to preserve retirees' medical insurance at its current level, which already works to meet their needs.

James Mellone (New York, 2022-03-27)

#5850

People die because of advantage plan.

Peter Hespe (Vero beach, 2022-03-27)

I am signing this petition to show Mayor Adams I care about the healthcare I was promised for the last 30 years.

Susan Muller (levittown, 2022-03-27)

#5861

I'm signing because I want to keep my original Medicare

Sherry Bellovin (North Massapequa, 2022-03-28)

#5862

I have been retired for 15 years and I object to the City now forcing me to leave my Regular Medicare program or force me to pay for me and my husband an additional 400 dollars per month to keep what I had.

Lea Pipman (New Paltz, 2022-03-28)

#5865

I took the job as Payroll Secretary and took a cut from my salary as a legal secretary because of the benefits and especially the retirement benefits. My pension does not afford me the choice of opting out if I have to pay almost $400 per month for my husband and me. I worked very hard and believe I am entitled to the benefits I retired with. Thank you.

Kathleen Ciano (Whitestone, 2022-03-28)

#5871

I want to keep regular Medicare that I worked all my life for. No that I'm old I really need good coverage.

Dorothy Nusbaum (Brooklyn, 2022-03-28)

#5878

I want traditional medicare without preapprovals.

John Wuthenow (Clermont, 2022-03-28)

#5879

I think it is so unfair to take away a good affordable health plan from retirees. The most vulnerable of our population.

Judith Stelboum (NYC, 2022-03-28)

#5884

BEST WAY TO GET THIS RESOLVED IS TO NEGOTIATE IT!

LOWELL GOLDBERG (SAYVILLE, 2022-03-28)

#5885

My deceased husband was an NYPD Detective and was promised these benefits when he retired from a massive heart attack. He protected the City and now the City has to protect them.

Laura Amantea (Mahopac, 2022-03-28)

#5888

Don’t want map plan

Ellen Paskow Paskow (Brooklyn, 2022-03-28)

I want to keep my Senior care and Medicare. Not interred in MAP

Steven Paskow (Brooklyn, 2022-03-28)

#5895

I want to keep my current medicare coverage as is...

Helen Spirer (Brooklyn, 2022-03-28)

#5898

I was promised at my retirement health benefits seminar at OLR that my health benefits would never change!!! That i was protected by law. 30 years of my life on the line in the worst projects servicing the residents.

Robert Stern (STATEN ISLAND, 2022-03-28)

#5903

As a retired teacher I need good healthcare. I’ve lived with cancer for over 8 years and need the best care. The plan that the unions and the city tried to snake in is terrible,

Naomi Cooper (New York, 2022-03-28)

#5906

I am Sick and I want to keep My same
Insurance

Cynthia Stoddart (Brooklyn, 2022-03-28)

#5908

I want to keep traditional Medicare and senior care. The NYC Medicare Advantage Plus plan would be detrimental to my health.

Stanley Lieber (Valley Stream, 2022-03-28)

#5909

It’s only fair.

Marshall Krauthamer (Baldwin, 2022-03-28)

#5911

I took this job for the benefits and the pension also my last 10 years on the job I was forced to pay for my medical retirement benefit every Thursday you took money out of my paycheck we live on a small fixed income now you wanna take away our medical benefits that we will need in our old age how dare you .

James Cleary (Milton ,Delaware, 2022-03-28)

#5922

I am signing because I want to keep the health care I was given with retirement.

Elizabeth Costigan (New York, 2022-03-28)

#5923

Feeling let down by city and union our healthcare should be the same or enhanced!

Lee Bennett (New York, 2022-03-28)

#5930

I need to maintain Medicareand Senior Care.

Rhonda Goldberg (Queens, NY, 2022-03-28)

#5933

I'm signing this petition because I believe that after 50 years of working for NYC that I should be given the health benefits that I was promised when I retired. The City should not try to balance its budget on the backs of the retirees.

Allan Ross (NYC, 2022-03-28)

#5937

I strongly disagree that those who worked so hard for the city of New York should now be faced with worrying about how they will be able to pay for their healthcare especially those who are retired and on fixed income.

Lynda Louis (Atlanta, 2022-03-28)

#5938

I want my healthcare benefits to remain the same that I retired under.

Ralph Pepe (New york, 2022-03-28)

#5939

I don't want to have to pay a premium to stay in my current plan. I am pushing 80, and don't want to experiment with another plan. This was part of my retirement benefits and I want to keep exactly what I have now.

Charles Aaronson (Brooklyn, 2022-03-28)

#5940

My health care my choice

Ken Wiltse (Warwick, 2022-03-28)

#5941

I'm signing because I taught over three decades in NYC, making much less than friends in Long Island and Westchester, with the clear understanding that when I retired I would be secure in both my pension and health benefits. This push to remove us from our excellent senior care plan and herd us into a MAP clearly reduces the level of care that I had.

Melanie Papkov (Wellington, 2022-03-28)

#5942

I was promised the same benefits for life that I retired with. I worked hard fir these benefits. Changing them is a huge injustice to retired City workers that gave their lives to this city and sometimes their health! Changing them would also have a huge negative impact on my health , as I am a disabled WTC Responder who has many specialists who will not accept a MAP ! I also cannot afford it !

Alana Lella (Hicksville, 2022-03-28)

#5944

It's unfair to take earned benefits from retirees just when theynwill need those benefits the most.

Katherine Birmingham (New York, 2022-03-28)

#5945

As a retiree I feel that reducing our hard earned and well deserved benefits is an atrocity. We served NYC during it's darkest times and deserve adequate medical coverage in our "golden years"

Jim Skalkowski (Spring Hil, FL, 2022-03-28)

#5946

Its criminal to reneg on retirees healthcare
Shame on our union

Evelyn Nathanson (Fresh Meadows, 2022-03-28)

#5949

When we all took the job, performed our duties to the best of our abilities, and eventually retired, it was with the understanding that we would always have our health care as it was intended to be, not some radically changed plan which is detrimental to all of us.

David Casano (Las Vegas, 2022-03-28)

#5952

I want a choice not decided by some gang.

Fred Palm (Manhattan, 2022-03-28)

#5954

Medicare advantage are third-party companies that have to get their profits from some place. That place are teachers who are retired.

Michael Marcus (Lake Worth,, 2022-03-28)

I want the benefits I’ve had for the last 34 years

Andrra Irizarry (Fresh Meadoes, 2022-03-28)

#5962

I was my healthcare to start as it was!!!!!!

Betty Hargraves (Staten Island, 2022-03-28)

#5969

I believe the retirees were targeted to pay for the raises of the present employees.

PHILIP PANTALEO (Indian Harbour Beach, 2022-03-28)

#5972

The benefits we now have were earned over decades of service to the city. We often surrendered pay raises in order to maintain benefits. It's outrageous that the city now wants to take back a benefit that was promised and earned.

Gary Testa (ROCKVILLE CENTRE, 2022-03-28)

#5974

I cannot afford the change. I am 76 years old and poor health Medicare advantage will not provide me with a medical treatments that are necessary to maintain my health.

Maureen Coniglio (Floral Park, NY, 2022-03-28)

#5977

I was never informed of what I was voting for in past elections leading to this horrific consequence for senior retirees.

Ana Sotomayor (Bronx, 2022-03-28)

#5979

I do not want the benefits given to me taken away.

Michael Pearlman (Miami, 2022-03-28)

#5981

Please Mayor Adams, do not appeal Judge Frank's decision. As a fellow retiree, please stand with us.

Elaine Courtney (Punta Gorda, FL, 2022-03-28)

#5985

All Retired members served the city and paid into their medical all these years. Now at a time when inflation is at an all time high and everything cost more is not the time to hurt those who did there time working for NYC. The city waste more money on illegals non citizens. Stop hurting the working class.

Richard Palmer (Mohegan Lake, 2022-03-28)

#5987

I was promised premium free health care upon retirement,

Donna Brogna (Staten Island, New York, 2022-03-28)

#5988

The new plan they want to push on us stinks.

Robert Wiecezak (New Hyde Park, 2022-03-28)

#5991

My current benefits, which I do make co-payments on, have saved me financially twice. I happened to think catastrophic insurance was a decent idea, so got the add-on in @2009. In 2010, my partner had a stroke and that insurance covered out-of-network costs to the tune of $50K. More recently, it covered the cost of a medication which forced me to take out a loan from my/our retirement funds... $40k. The U.S. pharma gig is exploitative and the general healthcare system in this country is too expensive. If insurance gets any weaker, retirees (present and future) will all go broke as a rule. Public servants should not be mistreated so. It's shameful.

Michael Miller (New York, 2022-03-28)

#5995

I'm a retiree. I retired with specific benefits that should not be changed or altered that could adversely affect all retirees.
