Hervey Bay - Swimming Lagoon or Safe swimming enclosure

Hervey Bay needs this lagoon to be provided for all children's safety, to allow diabled and older people the ability to have a swim with a ramp. Yeppoon has a beautiful lagoon and we need one as soon as possible.I have always wondered why Hervey Bay does not have a lagoon given the population growth.

A swimming Lagoon or Safe swimming enclosure will enable people with physical disabilities to swim and make it safer for people to swim without having to worry about stingers.Dave Mårtiñ (Hervey Bay, 2024-01-04)

I believe we need more attractions to keep younger people here and more tourists.I know a lot of people do not want progress but it is what the community needs to attract more government infrastructure so we can secure more Kobe for our kids and keep people here in Hervey Bay and stop state government funding going to Bundaberg and the Discovery Coast.

I have just heard about dangerous and painful irukandji stings in Hervey Bay. With this climate a safe swimming place is a priorityKaren Debra Kean (Pialba, 2024-01-05)

I have 4 children and would love to be able to take them to a bit of a safer area swimming area. As much as the ocean is beautiful something bad can happen really quickly and having multiple young ones it's just a safer option having a man made lagoon yo be able to enjoy some swimming and family time with parents who can relax a little without having to be on constant high alert.Chantelle Thomas (Hervey bay, 2024-01-05)

I want one, as another attraction gives the younglings something to do and brings more ‘out of town money’ into the bayBowen Harrison (Kawungan, 2024-01-05)
