This has links to the original heritage of the area.

I’m signing because I feel this optional route from the scenic rim should be re-opened as a tourist and local facility.

I’m signing because I love going to O’Reilly’s and I used to travel along Duck Creek Rd and would really like to see it open again and maintained for all to enjoy.

Maria Chisholm (Hastings Point, 2024-02-16)

I have been a regular visitor to O’Reilly’s for many years, and I consider the closure of Duck Creek Road to be the loss of a valuable community asset in so many ways.

Helen Dolden (Sheldon, 2024-02-16)

#829

There used to be a lot of O'Reilly's staff coming to work up Duck Ck Rd, and the the extra commute makes this unaffordable for them.

Melanie Venz (Chapel Hill, 2024-02-16)

#833

I have driven Duck Creek Road and enjoyed it, so want to do that again. Plus I own an interest at O'Reilly's and am aware of the access issues that have happened and see a second road route as important.

Len Fulham (Redcliffe, 2024-02-16)

I have always enjoyed the area around Lamington National Park and Duck Creek Rd makes for an alternative way to get there

Lawrence Heymer (Caboolture, 2024-02-16)

#835

This is important to help the scenic rim residents and with tourism

Belinda Leo Leo (Josephville, 2024-02-16)

#837

This is an historic link to Green Mountains through iconic scenery that should be preserved and maintained.

Kaylene Robinson (Currumbin, 2024-02-16)

#839

This has been a road that provides an alternative route to O'Reillys. Precious during a disaster plus an economic benefit to the Scenic Rim tourism operators

Çassie McMahon (Yeronga, 2024-02-16)

We love visiting kerry, o’reillys, Christmas creek, Darlington over the last 20 years! Shame it’s such a long drive to visit the neighbouring towns

Jan Funk (Cleveland, 2024-02-16)

This will create local jobs and enhance people's experience and affection for this wonderful area.

John Belsey (Redditch, 2024-02-16)

My wife and I regularly visit O'Reilly's. We love the entire area and regularly used Duck Creek Road to take in the scenery and explore the environs.

Steve Hodder (Dubbo, 2024-02-16)

A beautiful and commercially practical part of history and mountain access. Please reinstate access!

Jan Casey (New Farm, 2024-02-16)

As a visitor and tourist to the area, I would like to have the opportunity to enjoy the scenic drive. I also think that it would give tourism a boost.

Justin Schroder (Caloundra, 2024-02-16)

We enjoy time at O'Reilly's almost every year and it is disappointing that it is cut off from the Kerry Valley, particularly in the way that it limits walks down the western slopes as a return has to be via Canungra, many times longer.

John Henstridge (Nedlands, 2024-02-16)

#902

It’s a great scenic drive

Andrea OConnell (Mansfield, 2024-02-16)

#904

It’s the right thing to do.

Laurina Yam (Varsity Lakes, 2024-02-16)

#910

I've been going to Oreillys for the last 45 years. I have travelled on the road many times. There are multiple reasons for considering reopening. One of which is natural disasters such as cyclone Debbie but also fire and having more than one access to get off the mountain.
Thank you for considering.

Amanda Quennell (Currumbin Valley, 2024-02-16)

#921

For the reasons provided. This is a special road and access is important.

Neil Thorpe (Brisbane, 2024-02-16)

#928

This was a spectacular trip through forests to O'Reilly's and we used the road many times

Graham Yerbury (Brisbane, 2024-02-16)

#933

It sounds like a reopening of a road that makes total sense in regards to convenience, usefulness for locals in their work, tourist- wise & safety- wise! Please consider this petition!!

Lisa Thorpe (Deception Bay, 2024-02-16)

#940

I want to be able to enjoy great scenic drives and rides on my bike , acces should be reinstated,

Rick HUTTON (BUNDABERG, 2024-02-16)

#957

The road is essential to boost tourism and it is a wonderful drive

John Stephens (Canungra, 2024-02-16)

#960

Emergency services can get to O’Reilly’s better this way.

Lawson Schafer (Canungra, 2024-02-16)

#967

For the reasons stated above

Philip Grech (South Macclean, 2024-02-16)

#969

I’d love to explore the area; it would cut the time taken to access the park enormously and it’s sensible.

Jannette Manins (Cairns North, 2024-02-16)

#972

Along with the reasons already explained by the campaigners, Cross roads access such as Duck Creek help connect a shorter road travel for emergency reasons. Given that this is an existing road damaged during cyclone Debbie and not new, this should be cleared and reconnected.

Scott Thorp (Brisbane, 2024-02-16)

#988

I used to drive on duck Creek road as it way a different route to o'reilly's and a fun on in the 4wd. It was a sad day when it closed

Darren Brown (Ipswich, 2024-02-16)

Jacqui Potts (Southport, 2024-02-16)

Brian Casey (Capalaba, 2024-02-16)

#999

It saves a 2.5hr trip, allow access to wild beauty that supports mental health and well being for a range of reasons, gives local access to their own backyards, encourages & support tourism by bringing more people to share this beautiful place.
