I wholeheartedly agree with the concerns raised regarding the potential release of Duncan "Lord" Hoorn on bail. Given the severity of the charges against him and the brutal nature of the crime, it is imperative that he remains in custody. The safety of the community is paramount, and releasing him on bail could pose a serious risk to both public safety and the integrity of the ongoing investigation.

The tragic death of Chantel Pasqualle, who suffered unimaginable violence at the hands of someone who was supposed to care for her, cannot be taken lightly. The loss of a mother, sister, and friend has left an indelible scar on those who loved her, and it is South Africas duty to ensure that justice is served.

I strongly believe that allowing Mr. Hoorn to be released on bail could enable him to intimidate or influence witnesses, thereby compromising the pursuit of justice. Therefore, we urge the court to consider the gravity of this case and the potential risks associated with his release, and to keep him in custody for the duration of the legal proceedings.
