The stupid senseless waste of money decisions by aaron hawkins and the crew

Sharon Gillespie (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1002

Our mayor who was silent throughout the level 4 lockdown has decided rather than trying to stimulate our local economy he would rather try and pedestrianise our main street then cover it with pretty dots.

Viv Deaker (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1009

I feel a number of the current council are not listening to the majority of ratepayers.

Brian Stewart (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1012

Enough is enough, this guy and his team are a bunch of idiots... We are dunedin and happy how the centre of town is, our roading and all that stuff

Mike Madden (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1016

I have no confidence in the current mayor.

Trevor Baines (dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1020

He is wasting rate payers money, especially after covid

Philippa Bain (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1021

Noone was consulted it's not democracy

Leanne Byas (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1025

As a Rate Payer I consider the Dunedin City council are wasting our money.
Decisions are being made & money spent without proper consoltation or vote.
Now especially, after Covud-19 any money spent, should be to get the most benefit from it for the most people.
People use cars, need cars & plenty of parking. Not everyone lives within walking & bus distance.

Alanna Browne (Allanton, 2020-05-19)

#1030

Council has over written due processes,

Ewan Seyb (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1034

The council are the community representatives, and as such should be listening to the feedback from those who are paying their wages

Neill Glover (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1043

Although I think that the CBD can be more tourist friendly you need to consult and talk to the businesses envolved - democracy not detatorship

Moyra Johnston (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1044

I do not agree with the changes made to the CBD.

Jocelyn Jaquiery (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

honestly... at this point it’s pretty obvious why everyone is signing. I am sick of Dunedin being a laughing stock, thank you.

Sasha Alexeichik (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1052

I;ve had it with these namby pamby councillors wasting our money on shit we don;t need and congesting our roads with speed humps everywhere. Give me Vandervis....

Marlene Black (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1056

The changes to the CBS roading system are ridiculous and wasteful spending of ratepayers cash

Ken McHoull (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1059

As the petition states, the mayor and some councillors are making non democratic decisions

Louisa Baillie (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1061

A stupid idea and an absolute waste of money.

Shirley Carrick-Thompson (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1066

The wastage of money on the most stupidest ideas in a very tough time for the rate payers.

Noeline Bourke (Roxburgh, 2020-05-19)

#1067

Rushing through a 10km/hr speed change to George street is their top priority. Why not divert attention to working with central government to create jobs within the region, fixing the sand dunes at Saint Clair, improving the impractical cycleways just to name a few

Zach Pronk (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1069

The signs were already manufactured and the contractors painted the road within a week, so this had obviously been planned for some time behind closed doors. Councils are supposed to work for the ratepayer, not the other way around. We need a mayor who actually has some real life business experience to take Dunedin forward in prosperous times, let alone the economic depression that we are now facing. It is clear the current Mayor isn't up to the job if he wants to employ a personal adviser to make decisions for him!

J MacLean (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1072

I have no confidence in the Dunedin City Council who are imposing changes based on their ideology without following due process.

Tony McKewen (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1075

Lack of consultation with pretty much everyone affected.

AJ Corbett (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1076

Suggest we let Lee be the mayor till such time the votes can be recounted to fill the now vacant positions.

Joanne Nicolson (Mosgiel Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1079

I agree that they are incompetent and are not doing or listening to yhe ratepayers which i am one of

Neville Brown (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1080

I have no confidence in a Mayor that wants to bankrupt businesses and take car parks away. There is no need to try and control pedestrian movement in the main street. It will be no more successful than trying to get kids to social distance at school. Please give us a Mayor with some brains

Alexander Keremestevsky (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1082

This idiot mayor will screw this city by pushing his own agenda with no hesitation or any consultation with the ratepayers who by the way pay his wages and we should be able to tell him what to do or get out altogether. This man will do nothing for Dunedin as he is only interested in the pedestrianization as he is a GREENIE!!!!!! but a bloody hypocrite as he hitches rides from people heading into town and he does not like cars. It's time to pull the plug on this individual right now any way we can legally of course.

Bill Swift (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1085

Hawkins is a waste of headspace,he & councilors must be be taken to task over this debacle

Allan Sim (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1089

To much rate paters money wasted on Greeny/Leftie vanity projects.

David Walker (Dunedin, 2020-05-19)

#1095

I have no faith in this council. This Mayor and some councillors are not making decisions and changes the truly benefit Dunedin, residents and businesses.

Christine Macpherson (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1096

Lack of public consultationp
My email address is NOT to be given to anybody else

Alan Smith (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1098

Let’s get rid of our mayor the chief clown
Makes our Main Street look like clown town

Lloyd wilson (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1099

What for,to create more congestion in cbd

Debbie Wilson (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1100

Because I rather see proper infrastructure being done to benefit the city than pocket dots being put on our roads

Jorge Van Leeuwen (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1102

We need a council that is interested in keeping Dunedin growing not trashing it like the current lot

Mark Wallace (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1104

Putting All Ratepayers in debt with extravagant dreamland ideas disrupting normal traffic flows- removing hundreds on needed car parks. Follow AA advice on Road planning not those dreamed up by back room ignorant imported planners with large city ideas. Use our rates intelligently for city maint. Water, sewerage, flood protection drain replacement( main street) not speed bumps, Cockle shells. ETC
Appoint the person that polled highest for Mayor not some twisted voting iteration system.
ACT IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE CITIZENS.

Frances Tulloch (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1105

He isn't acting in accordance with our democratic political system

Kian Potts (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1106

Procedure not followec

Maureen Anderson (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1115

Despite using George St as my main route of travel to and from my workplace, I was unaware that the speed limit had changed until this evening. Maybe the giant coloured spots on the road distracted me? We are supposed to be Keeping Dunedin Beautiful, not adding unnecessary ugliness.

Catie Hodge (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1123

These ideas are against the betterment of Dunedin without adequate infrastructure changes to prepare for them.

Gavin New (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1126

Stop spending ratepayers money on temporary dumb shit stuff! Dots on the road? DCC needs to be more transparent and be held more accountable... they are answerable to the Dunedin public... they need to act like it!

Jo Miller (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1129

I agree with what has been said.

Aimee Danny Loli (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

Irish R

Mtjis Irramirez (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1133

Well where do I start to some it up just so much money getting waste on shit like this. seems to be getting worse by the week with stuiped ideas there is so much more important stuff the money could be used for around the city eg infrastructure.

Hayden Kelly (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1135

The Mayor Hawkins is a complete and utter clown spending money when it could be used else were he doesnt think about the community just his own agenda the guy is bleeding money and making our town the laughning stock of nz if anything spending money on keeping ppls jobs and see what happens the guy doesnt listen to this town none of the council's members do

Blake Divett (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1139

Pointless projects in and around the centre of the city, at the high cost of us rate payers

Aaron Simpson (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1140

The mayors arrogance and incompetence is absolutely ripping our beautiful historic town apart and has done absolutely nothing for the people apart from his own agenda

Jordan Gill (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1145

I think it is totally laughable-----goes along with the sandpit ideas and the closing off of the Octagon. All so so stupid and such a waste of taxpayers money. Just wait until some elderly or young child gets run over or hit by running on the road. There was no discussion about this with real people not the muppets in Council.

Lynne Ryder (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1149

The DCC is doing nothing but wasting rate payers money and is not doing a single thing us rate payers want.

Kingsley Baird (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1155

This guy is a joke and wasting ratepayers money on crap

Alecia Gosnell (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1157

I'm signing this because our mayor is a*****en tool and our and his sidekicks aren't much better!

Max Meffan (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1161

This is ludicrous, our city deserves better!

Jackie McLachlan (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1169

It is absolutely ridiculous of the council to do this!

Krystal Pires (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1173

Because of the poor choices the mayor and council have made

Grace Mount (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1175

I'm signing because I don't agree with the Mayor and many council members approach to the democratic process that should be involved with local government decisions.

Callum Steele-MacIntosh (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1182

Dud mayor is an idiot

Craig C (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1183

I feel let down as a resident of Dunedin particularly as one who has to drive for work. Car parks have decreased. Meter rates have increased time for parking has decreased. $46000 to move towards the car free city which people dont want but the council thinks it will sneak in is rude and a swipe at our intelligence.

Leisa Pierson (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1186

Dunedin is my home town and the clowns running Dunedin at the moment are not listening to their rate payers.

Veronica Hamilton (Townsville, 2020-05-20)

#1188

I dont agree with them not listening to what the people want or being honest about consultations/ decisions before theyre made.

Serena Inns (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1189

Zero consultation with poor execution. From seated areas using up valuable parking spaces to unused cycle lanes, now 40k+ for some painted circles ? Your having a laugh. Its on your bike Hawkins im afraid.

Rodney Gibbs (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1197

There is a lack of genuine consultation, and they seem determined to carry out a pre-planned agenda.

Dianne Harvey (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#1199

They have pushed through policies without consultation.
I don’t agree with the changes

Melissa Howat (Dunedin, 2020-05-20)
