I'm signing this petition because I have 2 daughters who attend UCD who felt forced to get a boister vaccine even though they had a case of Covid last month, just so they could attend their classes on campus. Then the school postponed in person classes anyway for 3 weeks. This is so ridiculous! These are young, healrhy people with natural immunity so shouldn't need to get any more booster vaccines!

My son has had covid twice and had a negative reaction after the J&J. His school is now demanding he get boosted by Jan 20th. After his reaction to the first shot we are incredibly hesitant to get him boosted.

My son is a healthy 20 yo male at ucla . He recovered from the original strain and only got the vaccine initially to stay in school . It is clear now that with the current omicron variant, it evades natural and vaccine immunity due to the mutations on the spike protein . Mandating a booster based on the alpha strain no longer makes any sense and in fact may harm our young healthy adults .

Medical freedom & autonomy is our basic human right. Additional clinical research is in order to determine efficacy, benefits and/or effects on longevity & immunity.

I do not want our kids to be subjected to bad policies that can harm them based on OUTDATED DISINFORMATION. Even the biggest pushers of the C19Vs now reluctantly admit that they do NOT stop transmission. So please justify your mandate...??

We are a perspective family looking at this college. Our niece has only 15% eyesight and hearing out of one ear after the second Moderna shot. My mother collapsed and was hospitalized now with a heart monitor After her Booster... These mRNA vaccines are extremely dangerous

My grandson is at risk.

I am a UC Berkeley alum, M.Ed, 2006. These mandates constitute coercion, which is forbidden under the basic principles of medical ethics. Informed consent is required and individuals are not informed of the long term risks. They have not been studied.

Edward Stamas (Easthampton, 2022-01-11)

My daughter has been vaccinated per CSU mandate, but in light of multiple instances of infection and transmission of vaccinated individuals, I no longer believe a booster would serve it’s previous purpose and that it should not be forced of the students and faculty.

I had Covid-19’s. I’m 76 and I’m alive.

Vaccines are not a one size fits all solution and should not be blanket mandates.

I’m signing because I don’t recognize this country or world for that matter. We are well on our way to the kind of authoritarianism that existed at the time of the Second World War
I, Ellen Cohen, do NOT consent.

Ellen Cohen (Davis, 2022-01-11)

Natural immunity should be considered. No data on health risks for children. Mandates should never be allowed. One size fits all doesn’t work when everyone has different medical histories. Stop the BS before people get hurt.

Karen Gleason (Ladera Ranch, 2022-01-12)

I am an alumni with three degrees from UCB, and my parents are alum, and my daughter is an alum. We care about this issue and oppose mandates! Please respect the well and healthy. Please respect the irreparable harm and danger caused.

I value personal rights, the chief one being the right to decide what I put in my own body. If my children or grandchildren are forced to make this choice they will not attend any California University.

I am a pediatrician and have concerns that mandated medical care will result in harm that can be severe and long lasting.

Nicole Shorrock (Placerville, 2022-01-13)

#138

Stop the vaccine mandate! Young and healthy with strong immunity shouldn't be forced for 3rd booster.

roger c (the BAY, 2022-01-13)

#142

I am signing because boosters were not reviewed or approved using the usual scientific review by the FDA. While I understand the CDC *allowing* people to have a booster for emergency reasons, boosters absolutely should *NOT* be mandated.

In addition, as a woman, I ended up with heart-related issues after my first dose of Pfizer. I don't appreciate the UCs trying to mandate this for my son who is at higher risk. I know how difficult it can be to get a medical exemption in CA - no one should have to seek any exemption to a third dose that was never properly tested and reviewed.

We are tax-payers in California with kids applying to the UCs. (Hence not giving last name during application season.)

I am concerned of the effects of boosting on the immune system and don’t see the point in boosting kids that already have natural immunity and are at little risk from the virus in the first place

Danielle Hagopian (Laguna Beach, 2022-01-13)

From data collected-it is shown that a 3rd shot is harmful.

Katie Fucci (Folsom, 2022-01-13)

#150

I agree to the above

Wendy Noonan (Post falls, 2022-01-13)

#153

I do not believe it is the place for a university to mandate vaccines for COVID 19 . This vaccine has shown to be damaging to significant individuals as well as not being effective in stopping transmission or preventing the virus infection.

Beverly Schnobrich (Truckee, 2022-01-13)

#156

The science is solid and I agree with the assessment. Boosting is not necessary for people with robust immune markers.

Ian Jennings (Folsom, 2022-01-14)

#160

My husband and 2 other friends now have heart issues after taking the vaccine. Another friend ended up in the ER after an hour after getting her booster. Her heart rate was over 200. She couldn’t do any physical exercise for over two weeks…and now a month after the booster, she still gets spikes. This is Very, very concerning. If they want our children to get boosted, they need to be held liable for their injury’s.

Vaccine mandates are unconstitutional! You are sending young people to their death and/or permanent disability by mandating experimental shots!

Vaccinations are unnecessary when you have natural immunity. You’re legally killing people with these vaccines. Nuremberg will come to your door as these are crimes against humanity. This is GERMANY 1940

Kimberly Lindell (Franklin, 2022-01-15)

I am signing this petition because I believe individuals should maintain their medical freedom and have their medical/personal/religious beliefs honored.

Anne Marie Nandzik (Watertown, 2022-01-15)

My son, a student at UCSB, got covid over the break. There is NO REASON for him to get a booster.

Sarah Allen (Redmond, 2022-01-15)

#183

I have a son going to CSUN and his age is 23. I don't want his risk of getting myocarditis to get higher by taking a booster shot.

Maria Lara (Northridge, 2022-01-15)

#186

I’m signing because the risk of boosters (and vaccine) far outweigh the health safety benefits for college age students.

Dorothy Laskey (El cajon, 2022-01-16)

#191

I'm signing because my son is aged 21, had already had the previously required double vaccination and with the increasingly alarming data on myocarditis and death we are very concerned about the risks of the booster.

Maureen Pontikos-Winter (Austin, 2022-01-16)

#192

I agree with this information

Karen Zehnder (Sacramento, 2022-01-16)

I’m a UCSC alumnus and a virologist who considers booster mandates in college age students to be unethical based on the current body of literature.

Nicole Sexton (Fort Collins, 2022-01-17)

Very concerned, as all others are. Create a method of antibody testing for the UC population; please.
