Traffic Signalling at JimFouche/Constantia Drs,Constantia Kloof

We, the residents of the area as well as motorists using the intersection of Jim Fouche Rd, Constantia Dr and Wilhelmina Ave in Constantia Kloof, Roodepoort, demand that Johannesburg Road Agency install signalling to regulate the high traffic flow at this intersection.

Accidents at this dangerous intersection occur daily, sometimes several per day, as a result of the volume of traffic and the lack of traffic controls.At peak hours the intersection is particularly choatic, exacerbated by the lack of controls and the frustration of motorists waiting in long queues to negotiate it.

In September 2015 residents were informed that a budget for an upgrade of the intersection and installation of signalling has been approved, yet nothing has since transpired.Should this be a temporary delay before the projected work shortly commence, we demand that pointsmen be tasked  to regulate traffic in the interim.Such arrangement will undoubtedly be essential while your upgrade is in progress.
