We say no to new uniform colour and extortionate costs!!

I have created this petition to voice the opinion of many parents, , carers and family members who agree that St Catherine's school has always been Green and Yellow and should remain that way!! Parents and Carers of the school yesterday received notification of the extortionate costs for our children to go into the new Purple colour. This news was not well received with some mothers reporting costs of £80+ to uniform a girl in three sets of uniform, absolutely ridiculous! In time when schools are struggling and budgets are being cut, is this time for a expensive rebranding of our school? I think not! Uniforms were brought into school to prevent the stigma from poorer families not being able to keep up with costs of nicer designer clothes! The school have pushed us too far this time with this most recent letter and we need to make a stand! After all every parent and carer I have spoken to voted no but we still had a majority in favour of the uniform of 68% ?!? If you agree that it is time to make a stand and have out voices heard then sign this petition!! Leave our uniform alone it has always been green and yellow and it should remain!

 

At a time we have lost 2 TA's and face further budget cuts to our school, is this really the right time for a full rebranding of our school?
