PETITION OPPOSING ' PROPERTY OVERLAYS' IN THE WAITAKI DRAFT DISTRICT PLAN 2022

We the Authors of this petition have closed and ended this Petition .

The Petition was presented to the Waitaki District Council at the Council Meeting on Tues 27 August 2024.

The Councillors voted to Accept the Petition and refer it to the WDC Draft District Plan Sub Committee who will meet in due course and discuss the Petition .

We are very pleased with this result and thank you very much for your signing this important Petition and making excellent comments about the extremely dire effects on Waitaki District Council Ratepayers  Houses , land ,sections , businesses, and farms  if this draft Waitaki District Plan goes through to Notification in its present form .

Private property rights should not be taken away by local  council rulings in our NZ Democracy !

,Designating Extensive  Environmental and Cultural  Mapped Overlays  over   80% of the land in our Waitaki District  affecting   Ratepayers and Residents  who

are House and section owners , Landowners ,Businesses and Farmers  with  Productive land loss , Loss of land value ,restrictive rules and regulations and

expensive  complex  undefined Consents systems .
