Sandy Bay has been a naturist beach from before 1970.

That was when I first went there.

So make your 20 years 50 years+.

Sandy Bay is far from the main beaches on the peninsula and requires a good walk down to the beach area. My wife and I were frequent visitors to this unspoiled paradise when we lived in Cape Town during the '70s and we see NO reason for NOT to be officially accepted as a nudist beach.

Great idea! I went to Sandy Bay for many years, then didn't manage to get there for a few years while my kids were babies. I recently went back on a free afternoon and found it to be populated only by unpleasant "pervy" people and have not been back since. if we could make it like it was again, I would be well pleased.

We have visited South Africa from Europe a few times now - it is a good way of getting a blast of sun and summer in the depths of the European winter.
Sandy Bay has always been a highlight of those trips for me, and should be nurtured as a national treasure.
