#512015-10-19 20:13People in Nassau County who take public transportation are treated like second class citizens but we still pay the same property taxes as someone who doesn't use public transportation |

#522015-10-19 20:32I use the n50 bus daily and it is the best form of transportation for me. I do not want to see it eliminated. |

#582015-10-28 23:30Where I live in East Meadow, the N46 & N50 to Bellmore are my ONLY realistic options for my commute to Queens EVERY DAY!! I realize these lines don't carry many people but We DEPEND ON THESE LINES!! PLEASE SAVE THEM!! I can only speak for my situation, but without these routes, I will become unemployed! |

#602015-10-30 15:55Because I rely on this Bus 51 from Monday to Friday to drop me off at the Merrick Station & a lot of people who also ride this Bus will be hurting |

#612015-11-18 20:34The N80 and N50 and N51 are all very integral buses to me, and without the N80 or N81, I will be unable to reach SUNY Westbury, and will be unable to complete my college degree. I also understand many disadvantaged or beginning students will be unable to get to Nassau Community College, which is where many students get their A.As or A.Ss or whatever they need for 2 year degrees before they can go anywhere else. Please, I beg that the long term effects are considered, as a commuter who starts at Sunrise Mall to the LIRR to using the N20 to get to school, I can't afford this huge loss. |

#622015-11-19 02:19We need these buses to get work! Very important! Please don't cancel n73 or other buses we need these to reach lirr to get work, school, and other buses. |

#632015-11-19 11:48I rely on the N73 to get to work and home everyday. Please consider not eliminating this bus. It is my only form of affordable transportation. |

#642015-11-19 11:49Please note that their plan also includes termination of the N73/N74 which will basically leave all of Levittown without service. Most of the riders are commuters who use this route to reach LIRR connections please help maintain this service. |

#652015-11-28 21:59Save these bus lines. Lines such as the 81 and 14 are needed by people to get to work. Working families will suffer when affordable child care evaporates. |

#66 Re:2015-12-12 20:39We would like to keep using N80, N81. Many families need the bus. So please let us go to work, we need to go to the Sunrise Mall, or to Ikea, to ballet classes, to church, etc. |

#68 scoot service2015-12-31 04:17The fact that this is cutting all North South lines east of freeport is unexcepptalbe. (Except for the N62) Which would add commute time on none cut line at max 3 Hours
Suggestions: Back in the 90;s the mta used duel able ride/public bus mini busses on the N73/74. Instead of cutting reroute service on low service lines useing this system since it would provide a duel roll with exsisting busses. Combine N36 and The N62 by rerouting the N36 over the south of Atlantic part of the N62.
If the N17 is cut extend N16 service through Molloy to Mercy and back again. Make routes on demand busses where people have to reserve a ride using the able ride system where routes are cut. Using exsisting busses Use Able Ride funnel routes instead off door to door provide service to the Nearest Public Bus Route. If long hall route use differnet able ride bus as close to destination as possible. Which would lower cost for that service

#702016-01-16 22:00We need the N73/74 bus to get around!! It is imperative that they restore these lines! We and so many others depend on this route and walking is just not an option!!! We do not drive and we had just moved into the Island. We rely on the buses and my partner who works in the city needs the bus to get to the Hicksville Station. I myself totally depend on it due to my physical condition. I am not able to walk long distances because of my knees. I need the bus because I do lots of grocery shopping for my family and walking to Hempstead turnpike would be impossible especially in the snow and cold weather. Please we need the buses and you need to consider myself and all the riders who depend on the buses each and everyday!! |

#732016-01-29 22:12The N80 is the only means of transportation in the area other than expensive taxis. It's how I get to the railroad, grocery, pharmacy, bank, post office, town hall, etc. It's the only way to connect with other bus routes on Hempstead Tpke, Jerusalem Ave, or Sunrise Hwy. NICE Bus took over promising to keep all routes, knowing some were not money-makers - that promise didn't last long. And they never tried smaller buses, less frequent buses, or anything else that might have eased the losses. They just dropped us as soon as they could. And if the buses had been more reliable, maybe more people would have used them. Schedules can't be exact, but buses passing stops 20 minutes earlier than scheduled and drivers passing right by stops with people waiting is not the way to encourage ridership. |

#742016-01-31 03:04It's insane to take away the only public transportation on the Island other than expensive taxis. It took me 2 and1/2 hours to do a little grocery shopping today because I had to walk to the only available store and walk back without a bus. And at 70 years old I had to climb over piles of snow never removed from the 107 ramps and underpasses of 135 and 107 as well as the piles around the sumps (yes, more than one) along the route. No buses, no municipal snow removal - no services for those of us who don't fit certain profiles. But the politicians voted themselves an undeserved and unconscionable raise for part time work. I'll sign any petition I can find to express my displeasure and I will vote against the incumbents. |

#752016-02-01 17:49Nassau county can do better than cut poor hard working families from taking the bus to work. These Cuts are to extreme! Cutting the whole line is a bad decision Why not cut buses non-peek hours. Peek hours the buses are full of riders. Please Ed Mangano Restore the N46 N50 during peek hours. Send vans anything to keep people working! |
