Big predators can kill fragile humans just being playful. This tiger may not be vicious at all, just got his pounce instincts triggered by a good friend, and he tried to play with her like he would with another tiger.

Like every wild animal in held in captivity, it is their primal instinct to attack or play with a so called predator in their territory.. As sad as it is for the dear zoo keeper The tiger was only acting on natural instinct and should not be euthanised despite if it..And for someone who loved all animals hence working in a zoo, I bet she wouldn't want it to happen either. God bless Samantha and her poor family at this time x

The tiger doesn't deserve to die, it's his natural instinct to hunt human or not, big cats cannot be tamed. We are saving big cats from hunters so they don't go extinct and here are these people that keep these cats in enclosures at zoos and the poor cats are still endanger as if they use their natural instincts on a human they get put down. Not the Tigers fault, that women shouldn't have been in with it, I personally think she put her professionalism in front of her own safety

Because the zookeeper was probably messing around with the tiger and not following safety precautions. An endangered species shouldn't suffer for his faults. Even if he was and the tiger just decided to kill him on a whim, another way to look at it is that we've trapped this animal in an enclosure to preserve its existence and prevent it from extinction. Putting it down would be counterproductive.

First of all id like to say im so sorry to hear of this horrible accident with male tiger oz and his keeper,they are wild animals and I hope that they think very hard on their decision with what to do with oz after all the keepers are told the dangers of working with these types of animals before they start they are trained to know signs behaviour etc but these things can easily happen with one tiny mistake etc, I feel what I've heard re his keeper she had a huge passion for these tigers I don't think she'd want him put down for what he did she would of known when she started working with them that these kind of things can happen so easily,they are a dangerous animal but everyone needs to remember they aren't pets they're very unpredictable its in their nature their wild if only oz could tell everyone what happened that sad tragic day please save him,and once again I am so sorry to hear of his keepers death my thoughts go out to her family friends and work colleges and also to anyone else that was there that day that may have seen it happen xx

The animals in zoos do not ask to be put in enclosures. How can you justify putting down an animal for harming the keeper when you've locked them up and walk into the space they are confined in. The tiger is a predator doing what it naturally does in the wild. The tiger is not at fault here

Please Don not destroy this beautiful animal, Oz was only protecting what he saw as his, this tragic accident is not one that will be fixed by killing the animal, he was just doing what comes natural to him... remember he is caged also which is probably magnifying his frustration. please dont kill him
