My animals are petrified and no, they are not even outside! There are other dogs and cats in the neighbourhood, whose owners do not care! They go through hell when fireworks are used.
Just think of the birds, the Dassies and other wildlife. The only thing that's able to protect our animals and wildlife, is to put a total ban on fireworks!!!
So many animals have gone missing since the 24th of Dec 2015. Others have died, trying to run away from the noise.
Please BAN fireworks!

Besides the terror fireworks causes many animals, and wild birds, you will always find those sick idiots who deliberately harm animals with fireworks, just for their sick pleasure
Guest#355 Jan 02, 2016, 17:34
It's unfair that animals must suffer for our entertainment
Guest#356 Jan 02, 2016, 17:36
I have 2 Jack Russells and New Year's eve was a nightmare for them.
Guest#357 Jan 02, 2016, 17:45

Guest#359 Jan 02, 2016, 17:52
The explosions are louder every year traumatising all animals, birds. and young children. Children and animals are badly hurt by faulty fireworks.

First of all one of our friend's son lost his right eye and half of his face, the left eye is still a 50/50 case whether to take it out or not? Furthermore a dog fled for the fireworks , got stuck between fencing and another dog had bitten his head off.

To protect our furry friends.
Guest#364 Jan 02, 2016, 18:50
To stop the unnessary trauma and injuries that animals have to endure every year!
Guest#365 Jan 02, 2016, 18:51
Fireworks is a waste-of-money tradition! It should be banned totally! If people have money to spend on useless things like this, why not rather donate it to a children or animal shelter, who can put the money to good use. Let go of these useless traditions and wake up!

Every year I need to get a calming aid for my dog for new years. My dog is a nervious wreck because of the fireworks. Even after the calming aid, I still need to sit up with him to try and keep him calm and relaxed. While sitting up with him, I can't help but think about all the other pets that is left outside or whose owners aren't even home to console them. Our animals shouldn't have to deal with all that unneccesary stress.

I am tired of inconsiderate people doing what they please
Guest#368 Jan 02, 2016, 19:12
Because I love animals and the doggies suffer the most.
Some children started a bushfire right in front of my house with fire works
Luckily the CPF (Crime Prevention Forum & The Mopani Fire Brigade responded very quick on our call. Just think what would have happened with all the birds and there small one's in this bush dearing the knight. This park is really a bird paradise

I have dogs of my own that are petrified plus I look after other people's animals and I find it difficult to be in 4 places at the same time. These people that enjoy the fire works know that meny people are away from home at this time of year and should take that into consideration.

OuR dogs are so traumatised by fire crackers that we drug them and stay at home to ensure that they will be ok and safe !!
Guest#371 Jan 02, 2016, 19:18
