Coming every summer in Greece, we do as "regular" tourists : we spend money for renting a house, a car, buying food and going to bars and restaurants. As we heard that this lovely country has economical problems, is restricting kitesurfing a good idea to make us think to another destination......

When traveling the world on vacation, the number one consideration is if I can Kiteboard there. Unfortunately, my wife and I will not be visiting Greece as long as there is no kiteboarding.

My wife and I travel all over the world to chase the wind and kiteboard. Greece has been in our sights for the last year, and we have been considering
visiting in the next few months. Needless to say we will no longer plan to come to Greece! In a country that can use a solid source of income in the current ecomonomic slump, banning a sport that has some of the most financially prolific members is one of the worst and least thought out moves the Greek government can make. Way to use your head for nothing more than a hat rack and restrict a thriving ecomonmic market that looks towards Greece as a "have to visit" location.

Planning to visit Greece again next year, but not if we are restricted from kiting. The move to ban kiting will certainly deter tourists from visiting, not a smart move for an already sketchy economy.

If thist law will imposed, I will go to Turkey or Egypt for kiting in the future. In 2010 I spent 4 weeks and abaout 7000 EUR in Greece, maybe the last time...

Greek is a sailing nation. Kitesurfing is just alternative for parasailing. Let's keep Greek as a sailing nation with all alternative and with respect for all other activities. Thx.

Kite surfing community around the world speak out against such injustice to let this healthy sport flourish and one day enter into the Olympic games. Where is your olympic spirit Greece which you have created centuries ago??? Do not shoot yourselves in the foot !!!!!!!!!
