#10762016-03-18 21:05Breed specific legislation hurts dogs, people, and society. A demonstrably gentle dog is no danger. |

#10772016-03-18 21:12I love dogs and I understand how much they mean to people and especially kids. |

#10782016-03-18 21:52Because it is not right to take this dogs life just for his looks his owner and family are the best judges, but these days our judges don't have any common sense and cannot be trusted to make any life or death decisions |

#10792016-03-18 21:58Because it would break my heart if someone told me my dog had to be euthanised for being a certain breed with no consideration over anything else. |

#10802016-03-18 21:59I grew up with Dogs & we've had 3 of our own, there's no such thing as a bad Dog, just bad owners. And some numbnuts judge who has no experience of the animal should butt out & listen to folk with a better understanding of Dogs & their behaviour. |

#10812016-03-18 22:08Please save Teddy the dog from the drastic decision the authorities decided on ending his life. This poor animal has done nothing wrong but shown undivided love to his family, it's not his fault he has similar genes classed by the authorities as being a dangerous breed. This dog has animal rites to life like we humans do. Save Teddy and return to his family now. |

#10822016-03-18 22:35Let Teddy out of 'jail' he has not committed a crime and doesnt deserve it, typical 'jobsworth' police |

#10832016-03-18 22:37All dogs can be good or bad. Depends most of the time on their humans, environment and up bringing. The fact that pit bulls are used as pit dogs is the reason for the bad rap. This particular bull dog looks less pit or American. He looks like a good old fashioned "mutt" and the look in the eyes is good natured. Bad call on this one. |

#10842016-03-18 22:40Because I have a dog of my own and know what it means to a famiy who loves animals to lose one. If this dog is innocent of any "crime" then he should be released to his owner who sounds like a responsible and caring person. |

#10852016-03-18 22:50Because he is in a loving family home and as such deserves to stay there. There is no bad dogs only bad owners he doesn't fit that category |

#10862016-03-18 23:12This is an outrageous decision, this beautiful family pet removed from his home and threatened with a death penalty because his measurements are similar to a Pit Bull? He has done nothing wrong! This must be stopped and the dog returned o his loving family immediately. |

#10872016-03-18 23:28Teddy looks like he is a lovely family pet, and it would be totally wrong to kill him. I have had dogs all my married life,38 years, and it is the owner who is responsible for how a dog behaves... |

#10882016-03-18 23:29No parent is going to put at risk the most important thing in their life - their children. Dogs are not born vicious, they are MADE that way by uncaring, cruel owners. If a dog is raised in a loving family, especially alongside young children, it will be a wonderful companion for everyone in that family. Pit bills have been demonised because they were the dogs of choice used by thugs in dog fighting, or as vicious guard dogs around drug dens, Those dogs - through no fault of their own - were **deliberately** trained to be vicious by forcing them to fight other dogs for the right to stay alive and are a world away from the same breed of dog who have the good fortune to be raised by people who love them and care about them. This dog, who has only known love and kindness, is now - through no fault of its own - going to be exposed to the cruelty arbitrarily meted out to its less fortunate cousins. I truly hope this huge injustice is stopped in its tracks and the dog returned to its rightful home and family. |

#10892016-03-18 23:43This is nothing but racism, only in dogs. The idiots at Swindon Court, chief numpty Geoff Earl, and the buffoons at Wiltshire police are all as bad as each other and will have innocent blood on their hands as a result of this poor dog's euthanasia. Can you imagine if we segregated certain sections of community and declared them to be dangerous when they hadn't even done anything? Imagine if we routinely locked someone up, based solely on their skin colour, just in case they assaulted someone, killed someone, burgled or robbed someone? Utterly shameful. I have signed AND donated money; I would beg any of you to do the same. |

#10932016-03-19 00:01I signed this petition because I think it is wrong for the police to become involved with a family pet that poses no threat to anyone. It is for the family to decide if a pet is suitable for them or not, and no healthy animal should face the threat of being put down purely due to its breed or size. Teddy is obviously a much loved pet and should be returned to his owners. |

#10942016-03-19 00:36I am an animal lover, I have had eight Rottweilers, a dog authorities say is a dangerous breed but I have found that you couldn't get a better dog,They are loyal, loving, great for keeping unwanted entry to my property, gentle with children, altogether not a dangerous breed. I believe that if you ever see a dog behaving badly the first place to look is at the owners. I think that Teddy should be returned to his family, if anything is going to get him a little bit pissed off it is the way the authorities are handling him, put this lovely boy back where he belongs, with his family. |

#10962016-03-19 01:35Since Teddy has not attacked or bitten anyone the policeman should not have called the police dog unit. The R.S.P.C should be standing up for this dog? Let Teddy be free to go home and play wit this little girl and pals. |

#10972016-03-19 01:51Yet another knee-jerk reaction from an authoritarian state. Anyone would think the CPS were short of work. Leave the dog alone. I could think of much more deserving candidates for the death sentence. Teddy isn't one of them. |

#10992016-03-19 02:52As a dog lover with 2 soft as sh-te staffies I'd be absolutely devastated if some idiot judge ruled my dog be put to sleep based on what he might do. Instead of testing the dogs breed they should have a dog behavior expert check the dogs character and make sure that the owner knows how to handle the dog. Almost all dog experts agree it's not the dog it's the owner. I sincerely hope this decision gets overturned and Teddy who looks like a beautiful gentle looking dog is allowed to go home to his family and live to a ripe old age. |

#11002016-03-19 04:21This breed and others similar are completely misunderstood and the laws should be changed. |
