As chairman of the Dutch based foundation ' Information on Charta'77' I supported the investigation done by Paul "Offner and Bert de Rooy by getting financial support for their investigation form the Dutch Government and by asking Mister M.van der Stoel to present the report at the OCSE-conference in Copenhagen. It is a shame that the Czech Government still refuses to fully acepts its responibility in recognizing the forms of genocide executed by its communitist presessor and still refuses to materially compensate the victims of these crimes.

The Czech Republic has a long history of discrimination against its Roma population. This is a chance to at least compensate some of the wrongdoing against Roma women there.

In the past, i was chair of MG-S-ROM of the COE.We gave a lot of attention to this issue and I am fully shocked to read that the problem is still not solved
