My laptop says I have some drivers missing and I'm scared to download for fear of messing up something. I want to tell you I heard a rumor last night that the Mayor and other officials have told Monroe PD plus Sheriff Chapman to "stand down" if groups start taking the monuments down, specifically the one at the historical courthouse. The reason given was that there was more signatures in favor of taking it down than to leave it up. They can't use social media as their basis. Many people don't even have facebook. Older people that would support us have no computers or internet. I have no idea if the rumor is true but would like for you to pursue this to find out. I think that would be a ridiculous idea. If all of us tried to remove a black history monument they'd lock us up in a heartbeat. This backing down from politicians has got to STOP. You know the people involved so it would be simpler for you to ask for answers. Good luck!
