If our representatives would be willing to take a little more time to 'educate' themselves regarding the proven link: 'FAMILY & COMMUNITY VIOLENCE 'BEGINS' WITH ANIMAL TORTURE & ABUSE',they would be doing their jobs in not only protecting the citizens of Canada but also invest in the intervention programs necessary to identify and treat such individuals (AND OFTEN CHILDREN) rather than waste millions on building more prisons and modifying laws that will never be the solution.

Yes, the government needs to take action against animal cruelty and help put an end to puppy and kitten mills and backyard breeders. We need stiffer penalties for this unacceptable treatment to animals!

Enough is enough. These people need to be fined with large fines and do jail time. Every time this happens their mess is left to the rescues to clean up, organizations that have very little resources and money and then these monsters are given a slap on the wrist and a small fine and the animals are scarred for life. It's time to take a stand and grow some balls and make the laws harsher!!!!!!!

Je suis parfaitement d'accord avec cette pétition même que cela fait bien des décénies que ceux qui maltraite n'importe l'animal aurait dûe être punis sévèrement.
J'espère sincèrement que notre gouvernement va faire des loies très sévère pour découragé ceux qui sont injuste avec les animaux qui sont après tout des créations de Dieux...
