I originally approached the Albany Men’s Resource Centre about their “Pitstop program” as I had seen it advertised in the local paper, and envisaged it would be a great idea for one of our men’s workshops. What developed was a partnership with the proactive and resourceful gentlemen from the Men’s Resource centre Albany. They embraced the concept of our men’s group with enthusiasm and energy that is second to none. They adapted their Pitstop program and workbook to suit the specific needs of the men involved.

Men are often reluctant to talk about there personal problems. Having a place to go where they can find other men like themselves can often supply the impetus required to solve those problems.
It seems to me that early intervention in many of mens health problems is going to cost the community less over time.
