Higher penalties for animal cruelty.
Poor defenseless animals are beaten everyday, tortured, neglected or forced to struggle for survival. Left in unsanitary conditions with no food or water, they have little hope as they live out their days without the compassion they deserve. Animals are just like us. They eat, they think, they feel just as much as we feel. Its not ethical, moral nor is it legal but yet we mistreat animals? Cruelty to animals is not a minor act to be dismissed. Penalties for animal abuse should be increased. Animals deserve just as much life and rights.
